Absolutely lovely

The location

As a resident we needed car parking which as the hotel is so popular could prove difficult at times

We booked the hotel for location, we were attending a service at the crematorium nearby. We arrived on a lovely sunny afternoon and enjoyed sitting on the patio having a drink, the staff were also good enough to put the cricket on the TV for us.

The breakfast was disappointing, the potato scones looked like they had been deep fried, one of us had pancakes, another French toast, they were nice but the portions were very large which I know most people would love. Our rooms were good, ours was on the main road which was noisy, nothing the hotel can do about that but the speakers on the patio started playing music at 7.10 am, not quite the start to the day we were expecting.

Fab location

Noise was literally insane. The staff did warn us on checking in but you should be warned on booking (maybe it says somewhere but I didn’t see- fair enough if it did) but you’re getting no sleep until 1am so don’t even try. Again some might not mind but we just absolutely hated it as we were knackered from driving up at 7am that day. It’s not just noise, the floor vibrates it’s insane.
