Crossbasket Castle, Hotel & Restaurant

The venue was beautiful and there was a genuine attention to detail, I loved the heated floors in the bathroom. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Nothing at all

Loved everything staff the hotel the rooms

The manicured approach gave the sensation of exclusivity . The greeting was nice and the room was charming in faux deco style and you want for nothing in the room. The linen quality and bed was excellent. The shower was not powered but adequate pressure . Breakfast was fine , not because the porridge was mediocre , it was not it was excellent as to was the use of true, fresh orange juice but the team lacked any customer engagement. Ultimately however, a very comfortable stay with a charming welcome note in the room and just a touch more intensive customer service discussions . Highlight of team was Angela the night porter very sincere and a joy to talk to.

The breakfast greeting was non existent from the front desk , so varying degrees of engagement by the team from great to good to indifferent . Turn down service was not offered to me but the luxury of the property should dictate that this needs to be at least offered as a service if you so choose. Porterage would also be welcome, although in my case it was not necessary but generally this front line of defence goes a long way to set the tone for a venue ( you don’t get a second chance to create a first impression )

The location it was absolutely beautiful.

I could honestly say there was nothing that I was unhappy about.
