The food was exceptional
Breakfast was hot and really well presented - the tea pot was fabulous!
The two dinners there were of the highest quality and a real surprise given the venue
The Room 1 was poor. Too hot, the bed very badly made, the toilet too close to the wall, the wardrobe full of other 'stuff' and an electric cable across the doorway at head height!

Stayed here a few times. Interesting old building in a nice village. Spacious room with a big, comfortable bed. Cosy bar with a good choice of drinks. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.
Room had a few maintenance issues, such as cracked mirror, damaged furniture, non-working reading lamps.

Room 5 shower barely worked and luke warm water at best
Shower door handle broken
Complimentary bottle of water showed signs of mould and only noticed just befor i drank some luckily i spotted it.

The building is pretty, nice garden, good parking and nice staff
The shower was awful, no pressure and it was either too hot or too cold. The rooms are a bit dated but the bed was comfortable. It was around 16° on the day and even tho we had the windows open the room was really hot, quite uncomfortable at night, a fan would have been nice.
