Everything was great

Lovely old property in good location
The shower was blocked which resulted in me flooding the bathroom and my wife not being able to shower at all. No one on site to make aware of this at all.
No offer of refund or partial refund. I think being able to take a shower is pretty standard stuff.

the entry code did not work so i had to do a phone call abroad
fortunately, someone picked up and was able to help
the toilet kept making making noises after flushing. some random movement of the cover made it stop. initially i really worried that i might have a serious problem …

Excellent location, very central. Love the old palazzo feel - big rooms, nice common area. Great value for money.
Just know there's a walk-up and no AC. Par for the course in a place like this. Breakfast was below average - you are better off going to a nearby bakery for pastries.

Easy walk from the station (we were just passing through on a rail trip between south of France and Venice) and central location close to shops and restaurants The rooms are HUGE, beds comfy, good shower and nice breakfast. Also big thanks to the staff (when we fInally got hold of someone) for returning my earrings to the UK after I left them in the room.
We knew it was self check-in but the complete absence of any staff was a little disconcerting (we had questions to ask but nobody responded when we called both the telephone numbers supplied). Small thing, but no robes in the room as promised (though we did get an apology for that).

Very atmospheric neighborhood and building, in a good location for walking around in the morning, and very clean inside, although the building itself seems in need of repair.
Virtually no wifi and very little phone signal. It took over an hour to make one online reservation - via mobile finally - for my next stop. I could not do any work and was delayed finding somewhere to eat in the evening; everything was then closing.
The room was hot and there was no obvious remote or AC. Only after contacting the host and a delay - they did not seem to know where the AC unit was - did I find it on a high wall where it wasn't visible and finally found a remote. There was poor communication from the host from the beginning; they sent an email saying they'd "try" to accommodate a check-in after 8 p.m. but couldn't promise - which made me concerned that the reservation might not be honored. Together with the AC issue, it was not a relaxing stay; everything was more difficult that it should have been at this price point.

Great location, fabulous room.
Showerhead inexplicably couldn’t be pointed in the right direction, and bathroom was a little bit dated, though clean and with all the essentials.

We were charmed by the old world French building and got a great nights sleep. A huge bonus was discovering the neighborhood fondue place just across the plaza (Le Sporting) which was amazing and super friendly. Also loved the variety of local shops and the unique elephant monument nearby. Can recommend the crepes at the bistro near the art museum and palace of justice. Very cool city!
It would be helpful to have more space next to the sink to put stuff.

Central location in the old town.
Trash bin in our bedroom not emptied from the previous guests… The remaining trash bins in the hotel were maintained. Other than that, the hotel was clean.

Wonderful stay. You must be able to walk up stairs to get in. Large spacious rooms. Clan and comfortable. Coffee in the room. We did not eat breakfast.

Beautiful large room full of light with big opening windows for fresh air. Good curtains to block light out.
Quiet courtyard area (until Saturday am when the noisy workmen arrived!)
Comfortable bed with nice clean white linen.
Useful kitchen facility for use.
Could have done with extra pillows.
There was no hand soap in the bathroom (I didn’t ask for any as we had a travelling bar) I suspect this was an oversight.
No robes in the bathroom as shown in the photos on booking which was disappointing.
Not exactly property related but the parking in the town is very expensive. Also taxis = non existent! We had to drive to our gig at Le Phare, bonus being the parking was free!

Nice beds, large rooms, nespresso machine, central location, two sleeping areas. Felt a bit like sleeping in a student housing facility.
No airconditioning
Only a few towels for 4 people
Expensive parking in Q-park
Place was not clean (hairs and dust on the floor)
Place looked nicer in pictures than in realality

Huge room, it felt like an apartment. Except a fancy aristocratic French apartment. Nice little shared kitchen. Good location. Easy check-in after hours with a code share and clear directions.
It was hot and there was no provided fan; the streetside windows block out all sound but if it's warm and you open up, it's VERY loud. Also the shower temperature is lukewarm. They have it set so you can't click it in and go past the hottest default setting, but should bump that a bit.

there is no air conditioning. it didn’t affect us, but in hotter weather this is worth considering.

The property was on the second floor of a unique historical building located in the walking area of Chambery where there were many restaurants, shops, and things to do. The suite was clean, nice and quiet. The shower was wonderful and the in room expresso machine was nice as well. It is self service check in etc which was a bit confusing but ok once we figured it out. We were able to talk with the housekeeper daily and get clean towels etc.
We stayed in the Chambery suite. The double bed mattress was extremely uncomfortable (like sleeping on a bumpy rock) although my son said the single bed upstairs was fine. Also the Wi-Fi only worked in the main area of the house, not in the suite. I had questions about what things guests had access to that were complimentary or not and emailed the hosts but never received a reply from them. There was also no washing machine although it was listed as an amenity.

very beautiful and clean room and cute lobby
very central in Chambéry near to basically everything
we didn’t realise no lift and on second floor, so it’s not really buggy friendly, but we probably missed to read that somewhere so it’s okay

Fab location on the second floor, accessed from a small mews just off the pedestrianised central part of old Chambery. Walking distance to everything. Huge room full of original features. Two tips: Firstly, don't bring a heavy bag - there is no lift and it's up two flights of stairs. Secondly, the location is in the middle of a pedestrianised area so it's not really possible to drive a car to load/unload. There are lots of nearby public carparks within 3 or 4 mins walk and the nearest drop-off/pick-up place is perhaps a 200m walk.
Places to plug in devices for charging were a little limited. Maybe a trailing extension socket or two would help?

The room was fine, what you see is what you get, it's nice, spacy and clean.
The ad says:"A full breakfast buffet is served daily with regional products, including homemade bread, homemade jams, local honey, assorted cereals and fruit juice. Italian specialties can be enjoyed for dinner.", this would cost 15€. In reality, nothing of the sorts. A tiny croisant and pain au chocolat from the freezer (yes, in France, can you imagine?) a person, no charcuterie, no cheese, just jam (not homemade), honey (not local) and some fruit juice (not fresh). Eggs? Never heard off. The waitress asked if all was fine, obviously I told her that it wasn't, if I would have known, I would never pay 15€ for it. She replied that it's now only 10€. Well, I wouldn't even pay 5€ for it if I'd known, I'd rather spent my money on a good French coffee and some fresh croissant or whatever in a small bistro. The breakfast is a total ripoff.
The room was fine, what you see is what you get, but there's no elevator to go to the second floor. No problem for us but for older people, let's say not handy. This is only a minor remark though.
Ah, yes, Italian specialties for dinner ... eeummm, no.

The size of the room, location, full of charm, great indications
It's no big deal but the shower gel dispenser was empty so i had to get out of the shower to go and pick some up

Finding and entering the hotel after late arrival was a bit spooky, but functioning exactly as described and once in the room a great experience.
Breakfast was outstanding, really French and with fresh juice, warm bread, different sorts of cheese and marmalade, honey, ham, croissants and coffee/tea.
Chambéry a very charming city with great gastronomy (especially Restaurant Folie), design, culture and lot more in the pipeline! Looking forward to return!
No cleaning during the four days stay, which was not a problem during this wartime , but I think it would be good to flag for it beforehand.

One of the most beautiful apartment I ever stayed in, with an amazing location.
Old historic building with high ceiling, very well maintained.
Overall great value for money and highly recommended
It's not really a hotel as reception or stuff was practically non existence. They had a weird tiny room for several hours each day and other than that you have no one to talk to if you need anything.
Second floor with no elevator.
No refrigerator or mini bar at the room (only in the shared kitchen).
The apartment was not clean (full of dust).

We LOVED the huge room, the friendly, communicative and accommodating staff, the beautiful attention to furnishings in the room and sitting area, and the location within town.
It was quite warm in the room (we were there at the peak of summer), but the fan was able to keep us cooler when sleeping.
8.0 / 10.0
the bathroom and shower, and the spacious space of the room
it’s a bit dicey before check in. Instruction only written in French and couldn’t reach anyone when arriving
4.0 / 10.0
The location in the city is very convenient. The room is huge and has a very good bathroom. The room was clean.
The location is very close to an Irish bar that has live outdoors music until late. Even when the music stops the customers (that have had a few cocktails) are noisy and the waiters do not control this. We did not sleep well because of the noise until very late. The rooms are on second floor without a lift so be ready to do some workout when carrying heavy luggage. Fortunately the staircase is wide and steps not very high.
