Hillview House, Donegal Town

Whilst a little out of town the walk into Donegal was 10 to 15 minutes away. If weather inclement then taxis are available.

Room was just a little tight for 3 people, however clean and tidy

Room was spacious and clean, host hadn’t provided check in details but was apologetic and very helpful when he called to help us check in, check in is self service and instruction were clear and easy, nice self service area in the kitchen with tea and coffee provided

Walk to Donegal was about 20/25minutes, the property is slightly further out and the walk is along a road, there is a short cut, but unsure where this was.

We had a fantastic experience at Hillview House. It was a real pleasure meeting the owner, and so much thought and effort has gone into the property. It's a shame we were just passing through, as Donegal seems like a lovely town, and Hillview was in a superb location to let us explore it. God Bless.

The pre-booking electronic communication was professional and provided great detail about check-in and location directions etc. The in-house snack shop was a fantastic idea for hungry travellers. Onsite parking is always a bonus.

Did not see the owner at any time during our one night stay- however, we arrived late and left early the next morning. The bathroom had black mold on the tiles and it was unpleasant to use due the over-whelming musty stench. Had to keep the bathroom door shut at all times. The bed linen was old and uncomfortable and the bed cushion was stained. The "private kitchen" is actually a shared kitchen containing microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher etc. The room description is not clear on this fact and leads the customer to believe that these facilities are provided in your deluxe room.
