A very restful stay, in a quiet location above Donegal town. Pet friendly. 😄

Self checking worked well, great location and communications were easy The whole place was very spacious, with a nice sitting room and kitchen. The owners were lovely. David went out of his way to be helpful. We really appreciated been able to cook for ourselves. That was a big bonus for us. Our dog got a great welcome too.

We had a wonderful stay at Ard na Breatha and only wish we could have stayed longer.

Breakfast was all you could ever ask for and the breakfast room was not cramped with lots of windows for a warm, sunny place to start the day. The room was quiet, clean and the bed comfortable. Very useable bathroom! Lots of on-site parking and an easy walk to town.

We were happy all-around. No question, we would come here again and recommend it.

This B&B is run by a very friendly and helpful lady, I felt like visiting my aunt not a hotel :) The lodge is set in a beautiful scenery of Donegal surrounded by sheep and our room was very cute and clean. There was a great homemade breakfast in the morning with delicious coffee prepared for us to start our day.

The location is not ideal for walking to the town centre as there wasn't any path for a while and I felt quite unsafe especially when the sun was down. But it's just around 15 min walk to the heart of Donegal so the location is still great!

Everything was perfect 100%.. room was clean and tidy and was on the ground floor. Bed was warm and comfortable. Great shower in the morning and the breakfast selection was perfect for me and my partner.. Theresa was the best host and couldn’t do enough for us.. Will definitely stay again…

Outstandingly helpful and friendly. Really comfortable and clean accommodation with a great night’s sleep for myself, my adult daughter and the dog! Very tasty breakfast. We were all ready to continue our journey and busy day in Donegal having arrived very tired night before. Would love to stay again in future and keen to return to visit Donegal again in future. Many thanks for all your thoughtfulness and attention to detail.

Very nice!

Being able to use a kitchen and not be stuck to a room. We had a guest's fridge and an honesty bar. It wasn't restrictive and you felt at home.

Hard to find on the satnav. Had to ask locals. We had 2 yorkies with us and one is a teacup. So, she barked a bit. We felt the dog friend bit stretched so far. You gotta expect small dogs to bark a bit

Break away

We chose the property mainly because we could bring our dog along with us.. Also, the location was perfectly close to town…a fifteen minute walk. The facilities were excellent for guests with a fully equipped kitchen and honesty bar which was well stocked and reasonably priced. Due to the warm weather Theresa had a table set up if guests wished to eat outside. Our room was nicely decorated and the bed was spacious and very comfortable. Teresa and her husband were very friendly and more than accommodating…nothing was too much trouble. Home from home - We will definitely be back.

Thereza is such an outstanding host and made us feel home looking after our needs. The place is gorgeous, very well taken care of and a really good breakfast is served. The only down thing was the bed, not that comfortable for me but wouldn’t stop me from staying again.

An ok stay

Good location for Donegal town, easy to find also. Our room was spacious and bright but the door was hard to lock and I wasn't entirely satisfied that it was secure. Very very warm in the room. You can hear other guests coming and going/ breakfast in the morning, which is fine but just to note. I did feel very under pressure to keep my dog very quiet, she is 3 years old and this was her first night away from home, she was outside with me and spotted somebody walking past and did start to bark, for maybe 3/5 mins, I was in process of settling her when the lady (owner) came out and made comments that she was very loud, it was late (8.20pm), she hoped she isn't barking in the room?! This annoyed me, if the place is dog friendly, dogs bark!!!! I left very early the next morning as I didn't feel comfortable due to this. The breakfast was grand, staff at breakfast were nice.

Room door was difficult to lock, room was boiling hot. Attitude towards me when my dog was barking - i was in the process of dealing with it.

Lovely house, area and staff! Perfect if you have a pet!

My breakfast was nice and my room was pleasant. The staff were very friendly. I was able to have my dog with me which was fantastic. The house and location is lovely, I enjoyed walking my dog down the road in the morning. It is also pretty close to the town centre which is handy.

My shower didn't work, it was just boiling hot even with the cold adjustment. I was disappointed with the view from my room. I had expected a lovely view based on other reviews, but I think that was due to the location of my room. It was fully booked so someone had to have it.
