Clean room, comfortable bed and welcoming host. Location is excellent and parking is available but paid which is fine.
I understand a cooked breakfast was not on offer but a little more bread (maybe bread and a toaster) and a little more milk would have been nice. Yogurt in the fridge were out of date.

Nothing to like. The host was not there on arrival, didn't answer any calls or messages and left our driver without a bed for the night. Appalling service
Everything. Terrible business

The location was good for walking into town
The host was not prepared for guests, check-in was at 3:00pm; I arrived 6:30 pm and room not ready. The mattress on the bed was so bad I could not sleep for pain, old cheap. The wall was so thin I was kept awake by neighbors snoring all night. Worse when I tried to speak to the owner to ask for a room change he was completely absent, no contact info posted, I tried at 11.30, went out. Tried at 1:30. Never saw or heard from him. He left the front door of the B& Wide open all day with only inadequate door locks to prevent theft, no security. I tried to get a refund for one night. Contacted customer service, he was to contact me within 1 hour, no reply. Tried to call, no answer. Sent email, no reply. Totally unacceptable experience! Even breakfast a lie - he simply left stale bread, nobutter, used jam, no milk. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!

Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, cutest dining room with everything you need for breakfast! Steve is a legend and we would come back anytime

Great location with a great view of the river and castle. Very close to shops, bars and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable.
I didn't realise it had a shared bathroom, I think that was my fault. It can make things a bit awkward at times. But the facilities were very clean and modern.

Location was great - very central, just across river from Castle
Bedroom was very basic.
Breakfast was poor.

The location is beautiful.
Could have done with a bit more for breakfast. Didn’t want to eat too much as there was only a small amount of food and milk and felt we needed to save some for the other guest.
Also - could have done with a hand towel in the bathroom. The host was fab. Meet some great people in the dining room as well.

Place is spotlessly clean. Very comfortable and centrally located. Host very friendly and helpful
The toilet facility was spotless As well but very small. Wouldn’t put me off staying again though

Breakfast was unavailable. No water in kettle. Nor were any staff available, so I was unable to obtain water to fill the kettle.
No milk for cereal.
One slice of cheap brioche in a packet.
A packet of yellowed and hard sliced cheese in the fridge
Room was not ready when I arrived.
Given a shared bathroom, despite booking my own en suite bathroom.
Breakfast unavailability

The property was in a great location
Unfortunately we were given the wrong room on arrival which had to be hovered before we could go up. No effort was made to change our room. Also there was no mat in the bathroom and a very weak lock on the door. No ventilation system either. The front door was left open late into the night. Anyone could have wandered in. The breakfast facilities need to be more hygienic and organised. This could be a lovely b&b if there were more staff and organisation

Lovely room with river view. Fantastic breakfast (Not Hot). Plenty of choices to fill you up. Proper coffee🥰 Nice and cosy.
Bathroom electric shower was a bit noisy. However, main shared shower was very good.

Dinging set up
room noise and no space
no sink in room

It wasn’t the cleanest.

Host never showed up. We waited 2 hours, called numerous times, texted, e-mailed and got no responses. Had to find last minute stay elsewhere. And, yes, host was paid in advance.

The host Stephen was great. Did all he could to make my stay memorable. I suspect Donegal will soon be on the tourist must see list soon so go before the crowds get there.

You couldn't ask for a better location. A very short walk to the lovely town centre of Donegal, and literally a stone's throw from Donegal Castle.
I'm 6' 3" and my wife is tall too. As such the room and bed were extremely cramped. The shared bathroom was fine, but the 'do it yourself' breakfast was shambolic, with too many people trying to eat a wholly unsupervised breakfast (but this may have been because the host, Steve, was not well.)

The location was perfect just 5 minutes walk to centre of town but in a lovely quiet location

Arrived and owner stated he had been closed from Nov - we had to book another property as he didn’t seem to care that we travelled and had confirmation on our booking.
Took until 2130 for booking.com to get back to us but by that time we had organised new accommodation.
Not professional at all.

Easy paid parking right in front. Short walk to main town square. Room was comfy and clean.
I wasn’t sure of check out procedures and staff was hard to find. I just left my key on the entry table and hoped that was good.

The location, value and friendly host. We were able to drop off our luggage early. Very helpful.
The pillow are a little thin and the room was small.

So peaceful for a light sleeper, comfortable bed and such a tasty fry! Brilliant value. Great location, beautiful view of the river and bridges, can walk everywhere easily and Steve is a great host! We were slightly early and the room wasn't ready, but Steve let us leave our luggage and helped get me a mirror as we were heading to a wedding and I wanted to touch up my make up and offered us tea. Will happily stay here again on our next trip

Our stay in Donegal was very pleasant thanks to Steve and his daughter who were here friendly and helpful. The house is really cute, I would recommend with no doubts to stay in his house 😊
