Great memory of a very quick dip on a chilly September day….just to say we swam in the Atlantic.

The guest house was great.

The town was disappointing as many stores were closed. It was mid September and restaurants were closed and open on weekends. We were there mid week.

Pleasant and easy going

I’ve stayed with Bank house 3 times now, staff are friendly, simple easy checkin and out, it’s not far from the beach and other amenities. A peaceful easy place to stay that I highly recommend.

The only thing is there was no spoons to make your tea or coffee in your room and only enough milk for one cup. It’s not an issue really I just popped to the shop and got Milk, coffee and sugar; but you know when you first arrive and finally offload your heavy bags and think right I’ll have a coffee and take 10 minutes to relax. Luke I said no big thing.

Shower screen over bath kept moving outside bath rim and could not stop water on the floor - fixed shower head not practicle if you only want to wash hair and soap basket is fixed to the wall in the wrong place , kept banging my arm into it when showering Warning sign you are not allowed to use the stairs - only for emergency use. Breakfast starts late 8.30 am - could start hour earlier if you wanted to go out exploring. No pastries or cakes available Cutlery needs sharper knives to help cut my food CCTV cameras not very subtle - lots of them in all the public spaces including outside room doors

The worst lodging of our trip, no contest. Would not recommend.

The breakfast was surprisingly good. View was decent. Location was good in that we walked to several restaurants and shops, and could walk to Bundoran Beach. Probably could have walked to Tullen Strand but we drove the few minutes to save time. I would say this is an average or below average place to stay.

The room was clean but stained. Water stains on the floor, marker and other stains on the duvet, stains on the sofa, marks on the walls and ceiling. Ceiling over one bed was sloped and I hit my head multiple times, and I'm short. Bathroom was the worst though. Sink had restroom-like faucets that you had to push down to operate, but the cold only worked if you held it down, and the hot got scalding very quickly. Shower head seemed to spray in every direction but down. Wifi didn't work on the third floor even though they said they had a signal extender. Would not stay here again.

Location is the only good point

Unfortunately there are so many negative points. Its old, very run down and dated. Room was tiny for a family room. No space in room to even put luggage never mind hang up clothes! Nowhere in bathroom to put any toiletries as the only tiny shelf was broken. Only 1 hand towel and hair towel provided for a family room. Bedsheets seemed clean but badly stained. Breakfast was beyond disgraceful. Our main concern was safety though as anyone from bar below or street can just walk up to rooms unnoticed!!! We wanted to leave the second we arrived but unfortunately, no other accommodation was available to move to!

Reasonably priced, very convenient and close to all amenities, friendly and accommodating staff and child friendly. The en-suite in our room was recently upgraded and was fabulous.

The iron in our room needs replacing as there was a sharp metal bit sticking out at the top and pulled threads on my dress when ironing.

Amazing

The breakfast was the main topic of our day as we were full for most of the day. The family room was spacious for 4 people and was cleaned every day we were there. The staff were absolutely Brilliant. So friendly and professional. The attention to detail was impeccable. We can't wait to return.

The guesthouse was right in the middle of the town walking distance from everything. The staff were great all ways smiling super helpful and full of ideas and places to go and see

For me the beds were too soft, like they were comfortable but just too soft for my back. And the pillows were a bit too flat for me. Yet the rest of the family thought that they were great.

Location is excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lift to rooms is very handy for disabled access. Room was clean and tidy. Dinning room was lovely. There was a good choice for breakfast and the cooked breakfast was very tasty. Would stay again..

exactly what is needed

Friendly staff The sisters Laura, Hannah and brother Connor as well as the ladies of the kitchen/housekeeping were very nice and really gave the impression that they wanted to make your stay a success. Irish breakfast. Technical problems are solved immediately. Reported that a window could not be opened. Upon return it had already been solved Shuttle bus to Ballyshannon Roty Gallagher festival nearby

Took quite a while before really warm water came out of the shower. The bedside tables/tables next to the bed were too low, To see the phone for time you had to raise yourself up in bed
