Comfortable and enjoyable.

The owners were so friendly and helpful as soon as we arrived. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The electric blankets were a nice touch on such a cold evening. Bathroom was lovely and breakfast was very tasty.

A cosy room with amazing breakfast

A beautiful, cozy room next to all pubs and restaurants, with a nice view of the nature around. The room was spacious, warm and it had all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh products and customized to our liking. Geraldine was very helpful and friendly, we absolutely loved it there!

Best place on our trip to ireland! Highly recommended

The location is very good: very close to the city centre of Donagal (just a 3 minutes walk), on the other side of the river in a quiet street! Parking is free. The hosts, Geraldine and Michael, are very friendly and helpful! Geraldine replied quick on our questions before arrival! Our room, with 2 separate beds, was not very spacious, but the beds were good and so was the bathroom! The hosts gave us very good suggestions about restaurants and pubs and about what to do in Donegal! And then, ofcourse, we have to mention the breakfast: the breakfast was absolutely great, we loved it! And it was very nice to have breakfast in the ‘general room’ together with the other guests!

A very enjoyable stay and just a 5 mins walk to Abbey Hotel in centre of delightful Donegal Town.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a much more choice of menu than we expected for a continental breakfast. The hosts went above and beyond with their helpfulness in every aspect of our stay. Looking forward to returning in March 2026 if not earlier. Thank you both!

Wild Atlantic Way

The room was clean and large. Bed was comfy. Good selection of goodies in the kitchen to help yourself too. Closeness to the town centre and restaurants/pubs.

No one to welcome you. It's self check in and we didn't receive check-in instructions until we got to the property, and another guest let us in and told us! We received no advice beforehand that it would be done this way. It's not the owners fault but a lot of noise from other guests in the room upstairs as you can hear every footstep not good at 3 in the morning.

It is absolutely beautiful and a very short walk to the main area of Donegal, where Donegal Castle, restaurants and pubs can be found. Geraldine makes an awesome breakfast.

Convenient location & breakfast; small room but as advertised when booked.

Confusion checking in as host sent check-in details (door access/room #) by text which was never received, likely due to data package for international travel (only had access to internet; sending via B.Com or email would have worked). Felt very embarrassed as fellow guest let us in, indicated ‘our’ room which actually wasn’t our room (thankfully we didn’t ’settle’ into room as I had suspicion it was wrong); finally sorted but in all of my global travels have never had ck-in details sent by text.

A very comfortable guest house with wonderful hosts and a fabulous breakfast.

The host could not have been more helpful, even carrying our suitcases from the car in the rain to our upstairs room. Information was provided on all the restaurants in the area, and we had numerous choices within walking distance. There was also access to a large kitchen and a lounge room. Our room also had a lovely view of the large garden. Breakfast was beyond our expectation in both quality and choice.

Breakfast was basic. Continental, with eggs. Some cereals were cheaper versions of main brand. But plenty of fruit, toast, bread, cold meats yoghurts etc.
