Absolutely wonderful

We absolutely loved this family operated Agriturismo. The were so kind and accommodating. The animals were a big hit with our toddler, and the food was delicious! Lastly, the olive oil they produce on property is truly amazing. To get an authentic Italian countryside feel I would absolutely recommend staying here.

An excellent accommodation in a very peaceful spot and with welcoming hosts

A beautiful old property in a peaceful spot which has been tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The family were lovely - very attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our dinners there - which were delicious, breakfast was great breakfast. The walk up hill to Cortona is well worthwhile (we spent a lovely afternoon there) and it’s well located for other day trips. It was a highlight of our trip to Tuscany and we’d certainly recommend.

Good room and hosts, but be aware that this is a working farm.

Good location near Cortona. The farmhouse and our room were both charming. Staff and owners were lovely. Bed was super comfortable, good air conditioning.

The owners could do a better job of setting expectations that this is a working farm. Heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment were spread throughout the front of the property and could be loud. If you are hoping for a serene environment, this isn't it. The stairs to get to the room are extremely steep, which could be a problem for some people, and larger luggage is brought upstairs by a hook and pulley. Also, no luggage racks or anywhere to hang clothes.

Loved every moment. The 1484 farmhouse is magic, the decor absolutely charming and interesting. loved being in a quiet, country area, not far from Cortona. The welcome from the owner made us feel at home from the first instance. The garden is a beautiful place to relax, with little table and chairs dotted throughout to unwind. Breakfast was perfect and dinner amazing, wonderful cook!! The dining room is so beautiful, felt very much at home. Definitely would recommend staying here, will do again.

We were disappointed and hope the owners will make a number of improvements for future seasons.

This was by far the worst of the 5 agriturismos we stayed at in our 3 week trip around Tuscany. Some aspects were good - large room, very quiet, beautiful linen. The location was perfect for Cortona.

However the farmyard environment was unattractive - tables and chairs were rusty and broken so we mostly stayed indoors. The shower was lukewarm. We had no wifi or phone signal in our room, and not a single word of English was spoken by the hosts, so we felt quite isolated. We tried the breakfast and also the dinner but neither pleased us much and we decided not to repeat either. The B+B aspect seems to be still a development project for what is basically an olive farm. At least the accommodation wasn't expensive, although breakfast plus dinner adds 45 euro per day.

peaceful and unique place in Tuscany

The place is very special - with unique positive aura, full of peace and joy. During our stay, the hosts were all very kind and helpful. We were greeted with a romantic dinner, and everyday we started with homemade breakfast all based on the products grown by the owners. Once again, we would like to thank you for your hospitality! We will miss you.

Our stay at Frantoio Valiani has been exceptional. The hosts, Paolo and Rachele, are very friendly and they provide you all you need to have a real Tuscan relaxing experience. Our kids also loved it. swimming pool, very nicese host, very delicious dinner(extra service), location is convinient to explore surroundings by car, very close to Cortona; good oppotrunity to know other people who stay there and exchange travel experience; price for sommer is reasonable and affordable

old furniture looked much more cosy on the pictures than in reality and uncomfortable matrimonio bad to sleep which was swinging every time me or my husbend rotated; a lot of moscitos in the evening; during hot summer nights it was difficult to sleep without air conditioner

Excellent hosts and service. Very helpful and hospitable persons, always ready to share their passion for Tuscany, for extra virgin olive oil they produce in full respect with what nature can best offer. Delicious home-made typical meals from Tuscany with fresh and organic local ingredients.

Not as it seems . Not recommending it.

The staff was very friendly but no one speaks English which made difficult to communicate .

The bed and the pillow were the worst. Made impossible to sleep . The shower was very old and the water wasn’t flowing enough. No garden patio as it was referred at the site . Homemade plastic pool which was also small. Overall nothing as it seemed in the photos . Couldn’t rest at the property.

Ci hanno accolto con calore e ci hanno fatto sentire a nostro agio, abbiamo festeggiato il nostro anniversario con loro e una coppia di amici, in allegria. Tutto molto bello e pulito ma devo dire che la colazione fa veramente la differenza, solo prodotti freschi e dolci fatti in casa, TOP!!! Abbiamo fatto anche la degustazione dell'olio, bellissima esperienza. Complimenti ai proprietari, molto simpatici e alla mano.

Coccole a profusione

Un posto magico: emana serenità e concretezza allo stesso tempo. Siamo stati accolti in maniera straordinaria da Rachele e Paolo. Cena strepitosa con prelibatezze locali e colazione superlativa con torte fatte in casa ( materie prime eccellenti, condimenti leggeri...risultato: gusto e delicatezza...ci saremmo portati via la cuoca :-))) ) Camere curatissime a dispetto dell'antichità dei luoghi. Ci hanno dato tanti consigli sui luoghi e bellissime spiegazioni sul duro lavoro delle olive...ripagato con il risultato di un olio da provare. Quante coccole!!!...che abbiamo reso ai teneri gattini di casa!

È stata una scelta perfetta, per la posizione, le camere accoglienti e tutte arredate e decorate diversamente, il ristorante ottimo ed i vini scelti con cura dai proprietari. Ma quello che ci ha più colpito è stata l'accoglienza di Rachele e Paolo che ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa, che ti trasmettono la loro passione, il loro lavoro, il territorio. Le persone che ospitano tornano a trovarli e anche noi eravamo dispiaciuti di partire.

Come sentirsi a casa di amici

Ambiente unico,familiare e accogliente. Le stanze in stile toscano,pulitissime. Si respira la vera toscana,nei dettagli,negli arredi. E poi Il frantoio,i cavalli,la campagna fanno da cornice e Rachele,Paolo e la loro meravigliosa Margherita unici,che dire... cortonesi doc!!! A 2 passi dal centro, immersi nella quiete della campagna! Li ringraziamo per la loro accoglienza e simpatia! Torneremo presto sicuramente! Consigliatissimo!!!

Dovete assolutamente soggiornare qui!

Dire "magnifico" sarebbe riduttivo: l'agriturismo in generale è ben curato, pulito, ricco di dettagli che trasudano un amore smisurato per questo luogo. La stanza in cui abbiamo alloggiato era perfetta, fresca, il letto comodo, il bagno con quella grande doccia in pietra meraviglioso. Ogni dettaglio è studiato con cura dai proprietari, le vere perle di questa vacanza. Paolo, Rachele, la loro stupenda figlia e tutto lo staff ci hanno accolto con un calore e un entusiasmo indescrivibile e si sono presi cura di noi, insieme allo staff da 10 e lode. Siamo stati trattati da re, accolti come in una famiglia e abbiamo vissuto la vacanza più bella degli ultimi anni esplorando il territorio accogliendo i loro suggerimenti e rifugiandoci in agriturismo (in cui consigliamo vivamente di fermarvi a cena!) per serate conviviali. Non si può descrivere l'affetto e il calore che abbiamo ricevuto♥️ ancora grazie di cuore!

Il posto, si piedi di Cortona, e la casa antica e piena di fascino, restaurata con attenzione. Ottima la colazione e la cena preparata con cura e ottimi ingredienti.

Colazione di ottima qualità, sia dolce che salato e di gran quantità. Davvero ottima! Personale gentilissimo e simpatico.

Roba di poco conto ma sicuramente il bagno è migliorabile, specie la doccia. Non è chiusa pertanto il pavimento si bagna quasi completamente e bisogna stare attenti a non portare l’acqua anche in camera.
