Monastero San Silvestro

Views, staff, services, accommodations, all wonderful

There were a lot of flies.

Beautiful location. Spacious to walk around during night and day!

The breakfast is wonderful.A vast choice of options and all healthy and homemade. The summer fruit compote is delicious and there are many high protein foods to choose from which provides a good start to the day.

Perhaps some ancient grain breads or brown bread options. The croissants are amazingly fresh and tasty.

We had a very friendly greeting from lady when we first arrived. The location was great. Very near to Cortona but you need a car. The room was spacious 2 floors with a living room. So great for a family. Our bed was comfortable and the pool area was nice. Cortona is also very beautiful.

Unfortunately there were more things we didnt like. I was not aware that there is no service for anything. No food no breakfast. We provided everything, including extra toilet paper. I didnt know when booking this place i would be cleaning and cooking. There is no daily cleaning. So the house gets very dusty and there are lots of bugs, spider webs everywhere, which made me extremely uncomfortable. The pool was also filled with dead bugs. I did not see any staff when we were there and we stayed 4 nights. To be honest it looks more luxurious in the pictures. If you dont mind any of these things then its great. But we nearly left 1 night early. As we were leaving i saw the cleaning lady come to clean our room with new bed sheets and towels, and she put the pile of clean sheets and towels on top of the garbage can while she kneeled down to get something.😣 Im sorry but i cant say we had the best time here.
