The location and the garden

The furniture and furnishings are worn out. The washing machine wasn’t working, and we were not informed about it in advance. During the previous days, we had been traveling through other cities and had accumulated a lot of laundry, which we were hoping to wash during our stay, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible. The owner told us that the washing machine had broken down after the previous guests. At first, I believed her, but then I started to wonder… There was a carefully printed, laminated, and neatly attached sign saying, “Out of Order.” It made me question how they had managed to prepare and put up such a sign if the machine had really broken just before we arrived. Later, we discovered that the bidet was clogged, and water was leaking from the pipes behind it. The outdoor table also turned out to be broken, and we noticed it had been tied together with wire underneath. In short, the apartment has an excellent location and is very spacious, but I found it stressful to constantly wonder what else might not be working or what might break in my hands because of the worn condition of the property.

Location was great. In Carneggio’s pretty corner with local and aesthetic vibes. The property had a very homely feel to it. Spacious and the just how it’s like in the pictures.

The washing machine was out of service and we were told it happened during the time if the previous guest’s stay. We would have appreciated if the host would have shared this info with us so that we could have planned for taking care of our laundry better. We found out only once we checked in. The ac was malfunctioning and the host didn’t seem too proactive in responding timely. We selected this place for its washing machine and ac facilities among other things and it was disappointing that both these things were not functioning properly. Also, the shower room was too tiny- would have been nice to have a holder for toiletries in the shower cabin.

La maison, plus spacieuse que sur les photos, est située à 15mn à pied de la gare, à mi-chemin entre deux stations de vaporetto dans une ruelle perpendiculaire au quai dans le quartier animé de Cannareggio. Bars et restaurants à proximité, quelques commerces d'alimentation et supermarché à 600m. Jolies promenades à faire côté lagune, prévoir 40mn de bateau pour arriver dans les lieux touristiques (place St-Marc, Arsenal, ou aller sur les Zattere visiter l'Accademia ou la fondation Guggenheim). Je mets 6/10 parce que c'était propre, y compris la vaisselle, et que le lit de la chambre était bon. Très beau figuier dans le "jardin". Il ne faudrait pas grand chose pour que cette maisonnette soit charmante mais en l'état c'est très décevant.

Réfrigérateur hyper bruyant dans la pièce de séjour/cuisine. Aucun produit de base dans la maison (savon, shampoing, lessive, produit pour le lave-vaisselle, huile, poivre, j'ai du tout acheter), juste 3 rouleaux de papier hygiénique et un d'essuie-tout. Le 2e lit (simple, court) et le canapé-lit, sont dans l'entrée... séparée du reste par un couloir en chicane et un simple rideau. C'est donc une maison pour 2 ou 3. Dans la salle d'eau, la douche est si étroite qu'on ne peut pas se baisser à moins d'en ouvrir la porte, les WC sont bas et coincés contre le radiateur. Le "jardin" est un espace à l'abandon, aux grosses dalles de ciment disjointes entre lesquelles on trouve quelques mégots de cigarette. Une table à la toile cirée poisseuse, et 4 chaises de jardin. La Wifi fonctionne... ou pas, souvent pas. La TV non plus et l'agence n'a pas répondu à notre message le signalant. Voisins bruyants dans les maisonnettes alentour côté jardin, grande résidence juste en face dont le portail d'entrée en métal claque sans cesse jour et nuit. La maison n'est pas de plain-pied : 2 marches pour accéder à la porte d'entrée, une marche entre l'entrée et le séjour/cuisine, plusieurs pour descendre dans le jardin. Bon à savoir pour ceux d'entre nous qui ont des problèmes de motricité.
