Nice happy hour with sake tasting and snacks, charming more traditional Japanese style building, couple minutes walk from the lake, and had a mineral hot water bath outside the hotel where you can dip your hands

It’s a little dated but it does add to the charm

Good location with a partial mountain and lake view. The fireworks at night were spectacular and our toddler loved it. Free welcome bar was a lovely touch and the pet buffet was cute. You can also rent board games for your stay which my children enjoyed.

Dated interior, although tidy it wasn’t super clean as there was quite a bit of mold on windows etc. As it is a pet friendly hotel we ended up going home with flea bites.

This property is pretty worn and tired. Unbeknown to me, it’s a dog hotel which didn’t bother us too much but there was a bit of yapping on one occasion that we could hear from our room. The food was decidedly average and the dinner definitely not worth the expense. The noise from the main road from our room was the worst of it. We had to keep the window shut as soon as the traffic started up in the early hours of the morning. Also there was hardly any view of the lake as other tall hotels were blocking it. I just wouldn’t not stay here again at their prices. I’m sure there are better value options around.
