Location and room view of the lake was beautiful. Lobby was updated nicely. Our room was clean and spacious.
The hotel is a bit run down in parts. The rooms do smell like damp tatami mats and the beds are a wooden frame with futon mats on top - so while you are off the ground, the beds are uncomfortable/hard. The balcony is rusted. The curtains for the bedroom are very thin, so no chance of sleeping past 5:00am in the summer if you are light sensitive. The walls between rooms are very thin, so we could hear other guests very easily.
