Settting right on Lake Toya. Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the Lake and the islands.
The place could use some updating. And there were no blackening curtains so we woke up with the sunrise at 4am.

We didn't have dinner at hotel. Room was very spacious. We had the best lake view, during the fireworks festival.
Dining venue was limited. Breakfast buffet was quite disappointing. Coffee was tasteless.

Good sized room on upper floor with narrow balcony permitting view of evening fireworks.
Lake side location with direct access to paved walking paths for lakeside strolls / running and reasonable access to local restaurants.
Reasonable Japanese breakfast.
Good value compared to a number of neighboring hotels.
Somewhat ‘tired’ appearance of hotel, onsen and furnishings.

The view was excellent. Nice onsen.
Beds were very narrow. Couldn't turn light off from bed and the curtains were not blackout. Japanese style with western beds but minimal comfort. Compared with everywhere else we have stayed in Japan it was expensive.
