It's not perfect but we love the place, great value for money

Second time staying, the room wasn't fantastic there were a few flaws, but nothing that bothered us, for example paint chipped cobwebs and a leak under the bath when we took a shower, but we love the place, the entertainment and the food, it's all great and we can't wait to come back, we see over those little things. Took our own bedding

Cheap but not cheerful

Trying to find my room was a nightmare not signed up for rooms down back area and lighting isn't up to much either , bed was rock hard and one pillow , also need a key safe i left in the end at 4 am rang number on door guy said just leave by door ,

The entertainment was good, the entertainment team worked hard and provided a reasonably good programme.

The restaurant was appalling, while the waiting staff were okay, the management and catering staff were really unhelpful. Seating was terrible. The food was reasonable but insufficient for the number of guests. There weren't enough beverage making facilities. Queues for the buffet were extremely long and slow as the food kept running out. The room was fairly good but the outside lighting made it quite light, making sleeping difficult. Would suggest motion sensored lights.

Entertainment and how the club was decorated

Queueing for meals could have been eased by leaving 2 food stations open. Also to have a 2nd tea and coffee station working. Need more staff to cope with the demand, was constantley running out of food cups plates dishes etc. Quite simple changes would make the service a lot easier. One of the milk stations needed a good clean was clogged with dried milk not nice did'nt use it again. I know it's not the Ritz but should be kept clean. Think if the management could have a productive meeting most of the issues could be addressed.

Basic, good value accommodation with an excellent swimming pool.

The swimming pool was much nicer than I expected and was wonderfully warm. The games room was good, too, with snooker and table tennis tables. The food was pretty basic but they managed to cater for an almost vegan diet, which was more than I'd expected. Overall it was a good place to stay and there's a bus right outside that goes into Weston town.

I could feel the springs in the mattress and I'm pretty light. Fortunately I was in a twin room so I put the duvet off the other bed on top of my mattress and then it was comfortable, but if I'd been sharing a room or in a double bed it wouldn't have been good. There's only wifi in reception, but that's okay, as long as you're expecting it.

Room although small was spotless and perfectly fine fie a short stay En-suite spotless and again perfectly fine . Food excellent plenty of choice always found something to enjoy .Excellent! So much entertainment all through the day quiet rooms if you need one. Large screen TV in main room for sport.

The elderly receptionist on Saturday morning was very rude stood at counter for 10 minutes totally ignored us rang the bell even looked at us when she was in the office then when I shouted anyone in reception she popped up me why, unprofessional attitude was terrible when I asked for 2 pillows because ours were like thin wafers she just said £10 deposit each no explanation nothing didn't even let me explain why I wanted to pillows I just walked off and said forget it and I ended up with a stiff neck for 3 days I could have said more but i was on my holidays and didn't want an argument with an ignorant bad attitude receptionist the young man who checked us in was lovely and the other younger blond lady was great and helpful when we asked for extra coffee maybe she needs some extra training on customer service or retire if she can't handle it 😕

I had a good time.

Excellent food with a good selection, you would never go hungry. Always something going on during the day and evening. I have just had a great few days there, it was 70's theme. Everyone really friendly.

No heating in the chalet so glad i took my water bottle with me.

The location was good with a bus stop directly outside that gets you into Weston super mare

The room was basic. There was no shower, only a bath. There was a banging on the radiator that started at about 11pm every night for the 3 nights we stayed. The guy on reception knew about it but said there was nothing he could do.

Can’t beat the place for value . . . we will be going again

Been before . . . Food was great again . . . Springs in mattresses are a bit old fashioned but ok . . .shower units are very small, be very difficult for a really big person to turn round in (and could do with soap trays) . . .Water turned up is VERY hot and could scald someone if they got into the shower before turning it on . . . TV’s are small but work . . .At least all of the receptionists were helpful and pleasant this time, prob because the main receptionist (Ann) was away for the week) . . .

Nightly entertainment was far too loud this time . . .nice to be able to talk to the people you are with, without having to shout . . . With Sand Bay now being for adults only, the majority have retired and getting on a bit . . they don’t want rock n’ roll songs being belted out …..they like to dance and I mean dance, not risk having a heart attack, trying to jive . . .

We thought the breakfast was excellent. All the staff working there are very pleasant and friendly. Great bus service outside the property to take you into western.
