About this house rental
This is an iconic Kiwi bach which occupies a prime position right on the lake front with a short stroll to a safe sandy beach for swimming, boating and fishing. The beach is ideal for families with safe swimming for young children.
Unlimited Wifi available with smart TV
There are excellent local walking, cycling, and running tracks around the lake and along the Kuratau River. It is an easy distance to the local Omori store which stocks most necessities. A stylish cafe, within a local vineyard, is within walking distance and is open during holiday periods.
It is a ten minute drive to the Tokaanu hot pools and thermal area. For the more adventurous, take a scenic 45 minute drive to the World Heritage Tongariro National Park with active volcanoes, hiking and the Whakapapa skifield.
Turangi village is a 20 minute drive and has a variety of shops and an excellent supermarket. Turangi is adjacent to the Tongariro River, world renowned for trout fishing. A fantastic cycle track has recently been completed along the banks of the Tongariro and the famous trout hatchery is also an attraction here. Turangi also has a good 18 hole golf course.
All the attractions of Taupo township including two internationally rated golf courses are an hours drive away.
The bach is an independent part of a duplex and can accommodate a total of 10 people, or two families, conveniently. There are four bedrooms, two up and two down. The downstairs is completely self-contained which allows separate areas for two families.
Both upstairs and downstairs have modern kitchens and bathrooms. There is a wood-burning stove upstairs and firewood is provided. Spacious decks both front and back are safety fenced.
The Toy Bach is part of a duplex, so if there is interest in booking the whole complex for a combined holiday then look up Kramphouse #7777. Please make separate enquiries for both properties but mention that you wish it to be a dual booking so we can co-ordinate.

Great bach with all the necessities for a relaxing stay. The location is absolute lake front and a great walkway on the shore of the lake.

Great spot on the lake’s edge. Ours was a mixed group of grandparents, parents and children ranging from 2-14, so perfect for us. Weather let us down, but we were nice and toasty inside with the wood burner going.
We will definitely book again for future family catch-ups.
