Overall a good stay and stunning beach location that is good value

Lovely view from the restaurant on the beach . Beach is excellent & bungalows good for a few nights stay just to chill . The beach here is better than bang Niang and there are several restaurants with good local food for a romantic day by the sea . Bungalow was clean with a king size bed that had a mattress topper and was comfortable , the single bed was hard as no topper. Service was ok , they could work on there welcome and showing you around , young staff working the beach could also interact better with guests .

Breakfast was very good. We loved sitting almost on the beach each morning and evening having our meals. The hotel was on a very lovely beach and we were well catered for with sunbeds on the beach., A little way out of town but that's what we liked about it. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful.

Lovely, relaxing and delicious stay

Great location, nice beach, perfect for swimming and very helpful personnel. Had one of the langer bungalows and it was very spacious. Restaurant on location serves tasty food. Booked also a snorkling trip via them and they referred to a good company which took care if a great trip. Can't wait to go back here!

When eating at the beach restaurant in the evening there are mosquitos, so take some precautions.

Location was amazing, food was good value for mine and very tasty. Beach is outstanding. Relaxing ambience. Tu,one of the waiters was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned nicely every day. Good size fridge in room with free water every day. Wifi good in room and on beach.

During our entire stay we never once had a warm shower and even when it was cold we had nothing more than a trickle come out of the shower head. It is the most basic and most important requirement to be able to wash at the start and end of the day. One day we had no electricity or water at all. This is a matter of modernisation that needs urgent attention. some bedside lamps would also be a good idea some people do like to read in the evenings.

Lovely beachside stay

The location was really lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach, the sun beds, and eating meals close to the water's edge. We ate most of our meals there, and the food was always delicious. The staff was great - everyone was very friendly. Mr. Dang arranges tours and also provides taxi service, and we had him take us to Khao Lak Centre one day. Mr. Nueng, the owner, arranged a transfer to Ko Lanta for us at the end of our stay. All staff were kind and helpful.

The bungalow was fine - although quite basic. It would be helpful to have a few more hooks and a suitcase stand. Only a top sheet was provided, and we had to tuck it in each day.

Quiet and lovely bungalows in front of the sea

the bungalow was big and clean. we had all the comforts we needed. the resort has a restaurant (very very delicious and it is on the beach ) and a travel agency desk to book all the tours in the area, very convenient as you can book directly when there. Mr. Nueng and all the hotel stuff were super gentle, available and helped us in each and every thing we needed. I recommend this resort for sure.

Beach paradise!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ao Thong! The bungalow was simple but had everything we needed, super comfy bed and good shower. Every morning we walked straight on to the beach, no shoes for 9 days…bliss! The restaurant is exceptional and great value. The staff were the highlight, Chai, Mr Nueng and Mr Dang and all the young staff were incredible!!! We can’t wait to go back. Thank you everyone at Ao Thong!

Bungalows on the Beach

Full service clean bungalows and restaurant on White Sands beach. Very friendly helpful staff at an affordable price well below that of some near neighbouring resorts.

The property is fine and if you like peace and quiet and just to stay at the one location, that's great. Really the only problem for us was that it's isolated, with few local facilities and colour. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, but if you want other services like supermarkets, pharmacy or ATM you can't realistically walk to these. Also should note that the beachfront has suffered a bit during recent storms and that the resort deckchairs and umbrellas on the sand could be in the water at high tides.

Great location near the sea, fantastic food and very friendly staff !

The hotel is 2 min from the sea. The 2 and 3 people bungalows are good size and clean. I enjoyed eating everyday on the beach ! Mr Nueng and his staff were very friendly and helpful. What I enjoyed the most was the food. The tom yum soup, the barbecued squid and the green curry with seafood are to die for!! You can also book activities such as a trip to the Similan islands at the hotel which is very convenient !

The hotel is located away from shops and markets but you can probably get there by bike or scooter. I didn't try because my stay was only 4 days and I wanted to enjoy the beach.

Superb

Unfortunately we were only at this place for 1 night due to our travel plan. We would have loved to stay longer. It is very nice. The staff is so sweet and helpful. The beach ist beautiful. The room is much bigger than I expected it. The food was also really good. Everybody made sure that we are alright and tried to help us out. The owner was super nice and kind as well and assisted us with anything we needed (like a Bus to Phuket). We would defenetly recommend staying here! All the best and Hope to See you soon! Christin

Good

Location is amazing. The beach has trees and all day long you can find shade. The bungalows are nice and comfy but need repairs. The massage in front of location is a big plus.

The big issue of this place it's his owner that all the time try to be pleasant but is annoying you with his false smile and try to convince you to eat at his location instead of the neighbours that are way better. He closes the restaurant at 6 o'clock PM and opens at 8.30. The breakfast is simple as it can be, the coffee is awful and the omelet is always not made inside. The smell from the pipes inside of the bathroom is so bad that you cannot stay too much inside.
