The George ticked all boxes - clean room, friendly staff, accommodating, very good breakfast.

Visiting family in the locality and The George was ideally situated. The bedroom was lovely, beautifully clean including the bathroom and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Staff were lovely and friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic and service of the highest standard. Highly recommend.

My first hotel stay, my first attic room, great staff, wonderful food, great location in town.

The attic room was clean and very large and spacious, double walk in shower, double bed, tv with plenty to watch and desk if you need to do a little work. Iron and board also included as well as full length mirror on the door. Note the attic room is at the top of the hotel and I didnt see any lift, so if you have mobility issues, this room might not be for you. Lovely bar area, friendly staff, nice breakfast area with fresh fruit and menu with choice of breakfast types. Made my first hotel stay an absolute winner. I could not have been happier!

The attic room on windy nights can howl with the wind, the stairs to the attic are a bit narrower than the others, (it is a spacious full double bed attic room however).

Our stay was exceptional from start to finish. It was comfortable, welcoming, and truly memorable.

We stayed at this hotel during a business trip, and we absolutely loved everything about it. The property is beautiful and full of character, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our rooms and the entire hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff were amazing: friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The à la carte breakfast was absolutely amazing, delicious, fresh, and a perfect start to the day. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back. Highly recommended!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a great little bar in which to chill after a long drive. The breakfast was very good, including a very decent full English breakfast. Free parking on site too. Nothing at all to dislike. We will be going back.

Better than expected

Parking was around the rear and there was lots.Their is a rear entrance and check-in was simple.The room was one of the best I have come across, modern well fitted out and quiet.The cooked breakfast was great and not greasy like some hotels.All in all an excellent choice.

Perhaps directions to the rear car-park, although we found it . It might be an idea to mention where it is.

Weekend stay

Everything was perfect, lovely room, great breakfast, friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Particularly liked the fact that there was a bar on premises for an evening drink. Choice of pubs a short drive away for evening meals...or Stumbles Bistro two doors down, which was excellent. We did a lovely walk from South to North Molton, through the community woodland and along the River Mole.

I've stayed here many times and look forward to staying again. They've got everything right !!!

I have stayed here a few times before and for very good reason; it's lovely. I had to leave quite early on Sunday morning, before breakfast was officially served, and they very kindly (as they have done before) made me a take-away coffee and bacon sandwich, both were excellent and whilst location is major reason for selecting this area, the fantastic service and general loveliness of this hotel is the reason I go back, time and again. It's also the little things, such as; I wear contact lenses and the lights in their bathrooms are bright and make it easier for me to pop my lenses in.

Having to leave early and miss their lovely, amazing full breakfast !!!
