We stayed here to go to a meal in Howie's restaurant which is right next door. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the train station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, bed a good size. Would definitely stay again.

This is the last hotel of our 9 day scotland trip. We couldnt be more hateful of the breakfast. The room was alright. Big and clean. Location great. But the breakfast is the worst we have ever tried anywhere and the price is not cheap. The pancakes were as tough as boots. We could have asked for a new plate because it was inedible but everything was horrible that we just didnt want to bother. The eggs benedict and eggs royale were salty and all the toasts were burnt black. The only edible thing was the yogurt and tea. Even the fruits were black and rotten. The banana on the pancakes were a bit too ripe and turning black. We four agreed this is by far the worst place to have breakfast and the price is infuriating. 18.50 pounds per person. Please believe me and eat somewhere else. Stay here its good but dont buy breakfast.
