We received a lovely reception from the staff, who were incredibly chatty and made us feel right at home. We stayed in Room 4 at the front of the property, which offered beautiful views. The room itself was remarkably spacious, featuring a super-comfortable bed and cosy armchairs perfect for relaxing. We also loved the tea and coffee facilities, especially the "proper" coffee bags and the treat of Tunnocks biscuits! We also ate in the restaurant and had the Sunday roast, which was amazing. It came with a very large Yorkshire pudding, chicken roulade, and the most delicious vegetables. I am really surprised this place wasn't busier than it was!

Overall the rooms, stay, staff and breakfast was lovely
I think the hotel since I last stayed there back in 2012 is a bit dated and could do with refreshing of paintwork and tidiness but for the price is was pleasant enough.
