Gooderson Leisure Riverbend Chalets Self Catering

I loved this this place, Its our 7th Visit to drak Gardens but our first time staying at Riverbend. Staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities and activities are incredible - lots to do for the whole family.

I did not like that we did not recieve fresh towels since we checked in on a Friday for the weekend and only checked out on Monday. I also did not like that there is no house keeping on a Sunday ( Although i understand that staff need a break), House keeping was available at a cost of R150. If there is no housekeeping on certain days, the rate should be cheaper on the days that there is no cleaning. Further to this, the was not enought sunlight liquid to wash dishes seeing that there is no house keeping and when we asked, we were told that we have to pay for it! I feel that this was a sly rip off. 1. You are paying the same room rate per night whether or not there is house keeping. 2. No clean towels for 3 days, 3. No extra detergents for the days that theres no house keeping. Please review this as this was the only negative.

Staff were very friendly.Location was great.Beautiful units,well maintained.Very peaceful and safe.Staff even keep the baboons away from chalets.

The Riverbend chalet we stayed in was wonderful, our Australian family (who travel a lot) were very impressed with all the comforts included inside the chalet. The staff at the entrance gate as well as reception were very friendly & welcoming. We saw eland, caracal and a dassie - very happy with our sightings.

There was a bit of litter around the Hippo pools and some areas near golf course had bottles lying around, exposed by the burnt grass.

Beautiful location and the chalet was awesome.

The have way too much rules everywhere written. It's like you continuously reminded that you rented the place. That was a turn off for me.
