Stay was lovely wrong time of the year and would be beautiful on a nice summers day.

Staff were friendly and helpful in everyday from breakfast or just coffee & scone. and we will come back.

My only complaint was the shower was small and maybe I'm just to big but it was acceptable.

Rustic rooms with an amazing ocean view.

Location is stunning, right on the beach with a great view of the wild Atlantic coast. Room was lovely and homely with a super big, comfy bed. Loved the couch facing out to the sea also. Free breakfast included is superb.

Waking up and seeing the sea - bliss!

The view from the room was extraordinary. The girl we met on check-in was so friendly and made sure we knew everything i.e. breakfast and check-out times before we went to our rooms. There was a lovely menu and it was lovely to see a variety there to suit different diets and appetites.

Uplifting, relaxing and incredibly beautiful

The location is beautiful, direct views of Spannish Point and the Atlantic Ocean from the lodge, the rooms and the dinning room. The bedrooms rooms were incredibly spacious , in fact exceptionally spacious, beautifully decorated , very comfortable and warm. Our hostess and waitress was a beautiful young woman from the local area. She was kind, helpful, humorous and thoughtful. The warm welcome enhanced our stay

It is hard to think of anything that could be better, maybe lower ambient lighting in the dinning area.

Excellent location, extremely helpful staff and great value for money

I’ve stayed here twice now and both times have been very impressed. Lovely spacious and homely room with a great bathroom and shower. Small touches like the table being allocated for breakfast based on room were nice. All of the staff super friendly and it’s so close to the sea.

Uncomfortable sleep

The Location we were attending f a wedding in Doonbeg so it was perfect. And Breakdast was good .

Well i stayed with my wife and Daughter and Son in 2 separate rooms 4 and 5 to be exa t . The Beds i in both rooms were very uncomfortable . In room 4 the Mattress feels hard and old and its too low di not sleep well at all. And the bed is too small. In room 5 my wife said the Mattress is too Shallow for the Bedframe and she hit her elbow twice off the Bedrframe turning in the night .. And she also tripped on the step into the ensuite because the sign is on the floor and she was looking straight ahead and was Not looking down .

A memorable stay full of charm and kindness

The staff was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The place had a very special charm that made it feel truly unique — it’s one of those places you carry fondly in your memory. Everything was spotless, and the facilities were well maintained. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which featured delicious local products and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Won't be in a hurry back

A spotless apartment, with a dishwasher and washing machine, so good for someone who intends to stay for a few days. Lovely staff and close to the beach, nice pizza in the evening.

There was no view as we were in an old converted shed behind the main building. The noise from the pump for the water was loud and was located in a cupboard in the bedroom. The bathroom had a strong smell of dampness and could have benefited from some decent ventilation. The bed was very bouncy and the soft mattress wasn't great for anyone with a sore back. The food is standard B&B breakfast fare - nothing special.

Pay more for nicer accommodation nearby. Not worth it. Musty and dirty

The location

The apartment had a terrible smell of damp and mold. The kitchen and shower room were dirty. There was cobwebs and spiders in most corners further proving the lack of cleaning. The floor was wet when we arrived and smelt like it had been mopped with a dirty mop. When we complained they said they were fixing the roof and that's probably why it smelt mouldy. It should not be rented out and they should not charge you full price for your stay if you leave within a few minutes of check in due to the state of the place and the smell

Nice location, needs some upgrading

Location was lovely with gorgeous sea view and beach on your doorstep. Bed was comfortable, room was large. Staff were pleasant.

A little bit dated, some minor upgrades would make a difference (dodgy flush handle on the toilet, missing panel on the shower door, refresh of decor). Noticed some stains on the bedding. On our first morning we were awoken by talking, banging and drilling directly outside our window.

Everyone was extremely friendly and I was allowed a slightly later check out at no extra cost. Breakfast was great. Very comfy bed in a spacious room that had tea/coffee/hot chocolate etc. Overlooking the sea, can go from room to swim in 5 minutes.

Bedroom was very comfortable with lovely views. Young woman who checked us in and out was lovely. Very welcoming.

We booked our table for 7 o’clock. Restaurant (also a takeaway) was extremely busy. I had fish and chips (€21 as far as I remember). The cod was cold in the centre so I just ate batter and chips! (I told the waiter who said she would tell the chef). Then we asked for dessert menu but were told nothing left but we could buy an ice cream from the fridge. I then asked for a coffee but was told that ‘the powder has just been put in the machine’ ((for cleaning I assume) so no coffee available. This is a restaurant that prides itself on its food!!

A rare gem in Co Clare

What a gem at Spanish Point .. very good value for money ,food was fantastic, staff were professional friendly and v helpful, everyone seemed to be in a good mood, nice atmosphere ,Breakfast was yum, chefs were very nice as well ,a proper Irish guest house location could not be better, there's actually a better view from this guest house than Armada hotel (which is twice the price !!) Will absolutely visit again and would highly recommend staying here . Thank you v much
