First off, the location was great. It was in Doolin within a mile or so of the pier where you can board a ferry out to the Aran Islands. When we looked out our window, we could see the leading edge of the Cliffs of Moher. McGann's Pub, a very popular place to eat, drink, and listen to music, was just a short walk away. Second, the owner and hostess, Theresa, was wonderful. We had several conversations with her, and she provided some really helpful advice as to how to enjoy the sites, such as the Cliffs. Everything was clean and well maintained, and even though she didn't provide breakfast, she did offer cookies / pastries and coffee / tea. There was plenty of on-site parking, which was also much appreciated.
I think the only very slight negative was that the room was a little small for two people with full suitcases, but that was a small matter that really didn't present significant problems.

Close to the northern end of Cliffs of Moher. Cute little village with many great venues for dinner and live Irish music. Comfortable room, warm on a cold, wet day. Living room is available for guest use. Help yourself to tea and coffee.
You can get great photos of the Cliffs as well as the Aran Islands on a clear day from the ferry wharf - as long as the wind and rain don't blow you away!
Bed could have been a bit larger - a queen rather than double. I should have bought my Aran knitting yarn from here.
Internet isn't great, especially when the weather is windy and wet - but that is the whole village not just the venue.

The location was very central, so great. The host was exceptionally lovely and helped with local suggestions. Although it isn’t accomodation that provides breakfast she does offer a few little things to help you get your day under way.

The owner was super helpful with our planning, the location is excellent, and the room was cozy with a window built into the roof above the bed. We enjoyed meeting other guests and chatting about our travels in the small dining area with a continental breakfast provided. Great location to reach the Aran Islands and the cliffs.
Room is a little small and close to other rooms - so not for you if you wanted complete privacy.

The lady owning the property is absolutely lovely, helped us with anything we needed. We were told no breakfast was available for the stay but we still got coffee/tea and cookies.
The location also was good and close to everything we needed, pub, bar, the port and the road to the cliffs.
Next time we are visiting Ireland will stay here again.
Maybe a hairdryer could be nice to have, but I personally didn’t need it.

Very clean, excellent location, easy parking.
The shower water pressure wasn’t very good, but not too big a deal.

Breakfast was satisfactory however there was no sink facilities. It was difficult to fill your water bottle. The fridge was shared with the other guests.
We had our own private bathroom however we had to be cautious not to soil the towels with makeup etc.
The host was rather rude. Any request appeared to be an issue. To have a cup of tea/coffee in our bedroom (I'm uncertain if this was permitted) you had to go downstairs & then carry it back upstairs.

Comfortable bed and pillows. The location was quiet in terms of local traffic (usual thinnish walls for "hotel"). Nice to have a jar of cookies in the eating area.
For the cost, and the set up of her building, it would have been nice to have breakfast included. But maybe the price is high because most people stay only one night and there is a cost for doing the turnover. Not a bad facility given the options in Doolin.

Conveniently located, great hot water, quiet. Owner was very nice and pleasant. Help keep the independent inn keepers going strong and fight the corporate movement to shut them down.

its location, nice and clean
as a driver guide I would have expected a greeting on arrival and not a list of rooms stuck to the front door, can't rate staff as there was none. also bad if guests need info.

Theresa, my hostess was very friendly and warm. She gave me recommendations on places in the are and was attentive to any needs that I had.
I would have liked brewed coffee or Kuerig option.

This is a nice location in Doolin, only a few steps away from a popular pub, a gift shop, and a restaurant. It was about a 25 minute walk to the pier, from where you can take the ferry to the Aran Islands. Check-in was very straightforward and flexible (we arrived around 10 PM and had no trouble), and the host was sociable and friendly. Free parking in the lot outside. There is a sitting room with books, games, tea/coffee, and some breakfast items. The room itself was on the smaller side with an angled ceiling, but we appreciated having an attached bathroom and windows that offered plenty of light. This definitely has the feel of a shared home, which is great for solo travelers or smaller groups.
Besides the pub and Ivy Cottage, there didn't seem to be many restaurant options immediately nearby. However, the property sent a detailed list of recommendations within walking distance so we had a better idea of what was available.
