ENJOYABLE & RELAXING.

The staff were excellent, likwise the food, We were pleased to find a thriving 'local' in such a charming villege. The fact that local regulars were present, and very friendly, made for a most enjoyable stay.

The room we occupied entailed something of a 'limbo' trial to acceess, This was due to a large beam across the entrance passage.

Cozy beautiful old inn right in the heart of the Cotswolds

The pub is gorgeous; just what you want in a cosy Cotswolds pub. All the staff were super friendly and helpful; great food and great beer.

Perfect Cotswold experience.

Perfect Cotswold location. Village was beautiful, quaint, just as anticipated. The Inn rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Staff at the adjacent pub were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. Close to the Cotswold Way for hiking with splendid views.

Everything about the Eight Bells was lovely. The vibe of the bar, the location & friendly staff stood out. Had two really relaxing nights here.

Wonderful warm ambience in a superb setting but the room a little disappointing.....

Breakfast was excellent. The staff were outstanding.

The room was not up to the very high standard of the rest of the establishment. Shower controls (as is often the case) are behind the shower meaning you could easily get burnt trying to set the temperature. No 'hold bars' in the shower - older customers could easily slip... I could go on !

Amazing place and friendly staff. Catered to my gluten free diet, cheese and biscuits in the night and delicious breakfast.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights, hotel was well situated.

Excellent breakfast with wide choice. I can highly recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast. The room was very comfortable with plenty of hanging space for clothes. Dinner was very good too, again with plenty of choice.

My only comment would be that a grab rail in the shower cubicle would be a good safety feature.

Property is well-located, with many points of interest within a short drive.

You need to be very careful about roof beams if you are over about 5’10”. I am 6’2”, and hit my head several times, even though I was being careful.

One night in a lovely welcoming pub with good food and choice of beer.

Great location, very welcoming staff, lovely atmostphere, busy with locals and visitors. Food was excellent and consistent as we have eaten here a number of times over a few years.

It’s an old pub so the room was a bit cramped. The tiny shower and toilet were up a highish step which did feel unsafe in the darker light. Otherwise a lovely stay and no problems. Everyone very helpful.

Shower room was quite basic, unfortunately the water went off due a burst main, not the fault of the pub in any way however not ideal as couldn’t flush the loo on the last morning. Staff apologised but we understood that this was out of their control.

Would gladly stay again in this cosy, quaint Inn in lovely Chipping Campden.

The breakfast menu had an excellent choice, you could have as much or as little as you liked. Also you could mix from the menu. Evening meal was very good too. The staff in the evening and at breakfast time were very attentive, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble.

The only disappointing aspect was our shower in our room. It sprayed out everywhere. Otherwise the room was a good size with a large wardrobe space and a large comfy bed.

Lack of attention to detail

Property was beautiful, location was brilliant and food was great especially breakfast.

Not very clean, bed uncomfortable and noisy. Coffee, tea, water etc were not replenished. Cups not washed or replaced after use.

The property was itself beautiful and ideally situated. The food was excellent, breakfast in particular and the chunky chips.

The rooms weren’t very clean, dust on bed frame, stuff on floor and cobwebs on windows. The bed was made after 1st night but coffee, water, etc were not replenished and toilet roll was not replenished, I had to hunt around in middle of night for a tissue. Cups were not washed or replaced after use. I would expect all of this to happen as it’s not self catering. There was lots of noise from room upstairs which disrupted our sleep.

Ideally located on the edge of Main Street, breakfast lady was really accommodating with changes to the menu. Staff all very friendly. Food in the evening was nice, had a lovely Sunday dinner. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Struggled to get a seat in the bar to just have drinks. Old building so has a lot of uneven surfaces which may prove difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

The inn was welcoming and was a good base to visit the locality. It provided a good selection of real ales from local breweries and is in the 2025 Good Beer Guide. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent!. We ate in the bar each evening and there was a good choice on the menu plus specials. We were advised to book as the bar and restaurant get busy. We booked for each evening on-line, very easy.

Great location and great atmosphere, lovely traditional place, just a bit of attention needed.

We stayed for two nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent – ideal for exploring the area – and our room was large, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfasts were lovely each morning. It’s a charming place with real character and a relaxing atmosphere.

Service was quite slow; on both mornings we had a long wait before anyone came to take our breakfast order. When we put the sign for some housekeeping in the room, we also left a note asking for just the cups to be changed (not towels) and left the room for the day, but nothing was done. The shower design in our room was poor; the head sprays directly at you with no adjustment, making it awkward to use and probably worth replacing.

A charming inn, much like a bed and breakfast, with delicious food and great staff!

The food was absolutely delicious!! Wonderful staff -very friendly waitresses and concierge. We loved the location and coziness of the inn - loved that we had options indoors and out to enjoy and relax from the day. A super place! Would absolutely recommend!

Lovely old building in historic Cotswold village but could do better.

Poor ventilation throughout the building during a very hot spell. It was not clear how difficult parking near the hotel was and this was a major frustration. Apart from the full fried breakfast the remainder of the offering was poor - no fruit, burnt toast poor choice of bread and other options Dinner food was fine but menu choice was limited

The historic inn is close to all that Chipping Campden has to offer. The pub is excellent.

The historic 14th century inn is very charming with a lively pub. The full breakfast was excellent. The inn is conveniently located in town. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms are small and hot. Our room overlooked the courtyard of the pub/inn which was noisy until after midnight.
