A very characterful old building and room, with sloping walls and floors! A substantial, tasty breakfast served, served in the large bedroom if you wish. Very friendly and efficient staff. Right in the centre of the town, but not noisy.

The location in the village was excellent.

There was no sign. When we inquired at the Wool Market's restaurant, we were given a surly and sarcastic response from the person working there. Rather than telling us where the reception was he mocked us for trying to check into a restaurant. As we had just made a sweaty +10km hike from Broadway in 34 degree weather, he could have opted to be more helpful. It was my fault that I hadn't carefully read the description. This is more of an air bnb, not a hotel. We arrived on a sunday afternoon and there was literally no one there to assist us. A fellow traveller helped us. The amenities were fine, but for the amount being charged it is overpriced. We had just come from an outstanding historic hotel in Broadway with exceptional service and after walking all day, we arrived at basically a self-serve airbnb which cost us the same amount. This was our last stop on the cotswold way and it was very much a denouement.
