Nothing, I had a terrible experience

The breakfast was something I haven’t never experienced. The croissants were from the day before, but the most shocking things was the crunchy bread, it was expired in November, so 1 month already. Moreover, when I told this to the stuff the person did not apologise and did not manage to make me comfortable.

the way it was set basically went to another hotel to get everything not a big deal just inconvenient

A dull experience

Three things were poor. First, the hotel staff leave the hotel at 2pm (pm, not am, just to be clear) and everything after that is shut down. Guests can only go in and out of a side door, and then just to their rooms, no other access to any other part of the hotel is possible. We were given instructions how to get in to our room after 2pm, and we were ok, but in 21st century Switzerland, is this normal hotel practice? I have travelled a lot in the world and and I have never stayed in a hotel that effectively closes in the afternoon. Second, please dont bother with the included breakfast, its pathetic. Finally, the "city tourist tax" added 25 euros to our bill, and if we knew about that beforehand (and Booking.com must be clearer about these additional charges when reserving) we might have chosen somewhere else.

The localisation

The breakfast wasn’t fresh, there was expired food served, the salami was old from the day before, so was the Cornetto. On top of that, the boss was very unfriendly and didn’t care that his establishment offered bad services

Gracious host, helpful for arranging tours. Location was better than we thought it would be.

A little far from restaurants open at night, but easy walking to bus and waterfront.

A pleasant stay.

Breakfast was excellent with good spread - one of highlights of our stay. The room was comfortable with air-conditioning, which is much welcome for the hot summer days.

We had arrived at the hotel before 6pm and expected check-in by staff as stated in the website. Instead we had to do it ourselves with key and code provided outside hotel door. A bit confused with the process initially but we understood soon enough.

Great room & breakfast

The room was spacious, clean and shower was excellent. Great breakfast. Nice & helpful staff.

A bit far from train station, need to walk 10 mins to furnicular (only found by chance when walking around) which goes direct to station. Or can take bus (didn't try). Can hear tv noise from next door. But was tired so didn't bother me much and slept well.

Very disappointed

I could hear everything from the rooms next to mine, the breakfast was SO bad! It was disgusting because the cheese and ham had grease under them as if they had been stored for days! The milk had gone bad so I couldn’t drink milk, it was a terrible experience.

Amazing location, perfect for holidays- highly recommend

The location is perfect- 500 m to Lugano lake, park and beach. 300 m to big Migros with take away option. One bus stop till Centre Lugano with all the shops and restaurants. 25 Min by foot to Lugano Train Station. The room had two separate beds and most important really good Air Conditioning System. Everything clean and very quiet. The staff was really friendly and even spoke German ☺️ It was a pleasure to stay there!
