The AmazinG friendly dilligent Staffs . They really hard working & Full of smile.

The hotel looks old and needs renovation. -The bathroom door makes a loud noise every time it is opened and has to be forced strongly open. - The mosquito net has never been washed. The floor mat in rooms are very dirty and needs to be replaced/ cant wash anymore because very old. - The Water pressure in our bunggalow very Small. Horrible.. I must shower in Pool’s Area. Over there get strong Water. - No Place for hanging hand towel - Sink in bathroom, it is very squeeze to stand between wc and Sink. Only one beach umbrella was open. When I asked the staff to open another one, it was very difficult because the beach umbrella was damaged. Me and staff tried to open it and The wooden part hit my teeth and lips, causing bleeding. Luckily didnt hit my Teeth. My lips were swollen for five days, and I had tooth pain due to happend. Luckily another Guest helped us

Fantastic, quiet and private location right on the beach. Wonderful option if you are not turned on by flashy bells and whistles and prefer a simply experience.

The property is a little tired around external areas needs bit of love. The restaurant and staff although friendly was average service, serve yourself mostly, breakfast was average in fact we ate out two out of four breakfast.

Great location in Lipah Beach but if you want to go into Amed you will need a scooter or use taxis. We went for the scub

Location is nice, close to great warungs, but the price–quality ratio was just about sufficient

The location was nice, close to a nice snorkelling area

There are a few things that could be improved. The Wi-Fi signal was quite weak, and although the air conditioning worked, it didn’t cool the room quite enough. The bathroom area is partly outdoors, which wasn’t clearly mentioned in advance. Lastly, we were woken up a few nights by small animals moving between the roof and ceiling — definitely not the usual geckos you often see in tropical places.

Great location, but needs renovation

The best thing about this hotel is definitely its location — right on the beach, perfect for snorkeling and enjoying the sea. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which made our stay more pleasant.

The property itself is quite run-down. While “old” doesn’t necessarily mean “bad,” the condition of the rooms was disappointing. There was a hole in the ceiling, paint and plaster peeling off the walls, and overall cleanliness left much to be desired. The building facade is also crumbling and looks poorly maintained. It’s really a pity, because with some investment and care, this place could be truly amazing.

As good a place as any we've been We'll be back for a longer stay,

it's a really nice place superbly located only eight rooms and four bungalows. Well maintained, the big rooms and bungalows have good AC, semi outdoor bathrooms and are cleaned daily. The pool area is right on the beach with loungers and umbrellas for the guests.

Beautiful

Everything! The staff were so lovely and helpful. The rooms are huge, clean and very comfortable. The restaurant overlooking the pool is well placed, and the food is very nice and affordable. The accommodation is built right next to the beach! This is actually very important because beach access around this area can be quite limited, and though accommodation may advertise as being only 250 metres from the beach, that can mean as the crow flies. It might be a lot further to actually be able to find a public path down. This accommodation has direct beach access. You look right over the ocean from the restaurant/ pool area. The beach lounging chairs are a lovely, comfortable touch. The massage hut near the pool area is delightful, and the massage ladies were all so lovely and gave excellent massages. The garden is well cared for and manicured, and I loved that in the next property over, there were some cute goats 🐐, I could see them off the second story walkway before entering the room. The snorkelling area is directly off the beach, and it is beautiful. There is a little convenience store just a tiny walk from the accommodation, maybe 200 to 300 metres. I really feel like the staff were the highlight, though. They are so friendly and helpful. It is as though they genuinely want to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The showers have good pressure and keep perfect temperature (I was staying upstairs and my parents downstairs. Both were great!). The balconies are very spacious and comfortable and have a sunbed on each as well as an outdoor couch. The front entrance to the establishment has a sizeable carpark, so it is not an abrupt exit onto the road, and it would be great for people who want to hire scooters and have somewhere to park it.

A quiet comfortable stay with lovely beach.

I only stayed here one night as I was passing through. The location is great, a beautiful beach. Nice staff, sun loungers on the beach and a nice pool. A very chilled vibe. The room was clean and comfortable with good aircon, fridge, water cooler and jug. Hidden Paradise restaurant next door was great.

The bathroom maybe needed a bit of a scrub.

Great private property located on quiet beach. Large rooms with great balcony overlooking gardens which included a day bed, large sitting couch, large coffee table and clothes rack. Pool on beach front with sun beds overlooking beach. Lovely choice of breakfasts and all very delicious. Provides snorkelling rentals. Would definitely return to this property.

Bathroom needs to be aired out when cleaners clean each day, ie; bathroom door left open, not closed.

Comfortable stay right on the beachfront with the most amazing snorkeling

This is a small, very pretty and comfortable hotel. It is situated right on the beach, so the view while you eat your breakfast or sit next to the pool is really gorgeous. You can go snorkeling in the ocean right in front of the hotel, no need go out on a boat. The snorkeling was incredible. We swam with turtles and saw the most beautiful sea creatures. The beach is quiet and very peaceful. We hired bikes from the hotel and were able to drive around easily and enjoy many different restaurants nearby. Get up early to watch the sun rise, it is well worth it. We would recommend this hotel and really enjoyed our stay.

Serene getaway on the beach!

The hotel is right on the beach and it’s super relaxing. The staff are exceptional and the owner goes out of his way to be accommodating. The bed was also extremely soft and comfortable - which is a nice change for Asia! We loved our stay here.

Cost effective stay, no wows, but no disappointments either

- Good value for money - On the beach and has a nice swimming pool too. So play in the water is possible any time. - Spacious room, bed and bathroom - No insect/geco trouble during our June stay despite being so close to nature - When it comes to room types, 'Delux double room with garden view' turned out to be better and practical than the 'One bedroom bungalow ' despite being cheaper. - Good massage places like Devara and Wellness Hub at walking distance. - Several good restaurant options nearby

Cons - Their restaurent is not bad, but we did not find ourselves visiting it more than once, as there were better options available at walking distance. - Minor maintenance bits missing (for example: the beach shower has the showerhead missing) - WiFi was spotty during our stay Notes and tips on Amed: - The beach adjacent to the property has black sand, uneven surface with coral debris, occassional rocks and constant waves. All that makes it tricky to play in seawater (especially for the young and elderely) - Snorkelling is possible on the adjacent beach if you are expert swimmer/snorkeller. Bear right once you enter the waters to spot turtles. Not suitable for beginners, given the previous point. - We availed snorkelling tour from 'Ocean Tree' which was professional. Mineral water, boat, dive instructor, boat navigator, snorkel gear and GoPro shooting included. - Depending on your expertise level, ask your snorkelling instructor to take you to easy or deep sites. Easy sites = Less swimming, more fish spotting and relaxed. Deep sites = More swimming, may prove exhausting for beginners. - Amed can be enjoyed most when the weather is sunny, not much to do if it is raining

Perfect spot, big water bottle in the room, great air conditioning, closed roof bathroom, fridge, easy access to the beach, linen alittle scruffy, location, everyone friendly and room service for food and drink.

Bed linen not so good, pillows are high, safety deposit box was not attached so you couldn’t use it.

A pleasant surprise!

At first I was a bit disappointed at being so far from the centre of Amed but I loved the peace and tranquility and Wayan kindly drove me into town and picked me up when I wanted to go free of charge. Snorkeling was great, straight off the beach in front of the hotel.

it was a water drip from the ceiling in the bathroom, there were two safe boxes - one didn't work, the second was operational but no instruction. Have to call staff for help.

A peaceful, clean get away spot, right on the beach with easy access to good food.

The housekeeping staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent with good soap products. Walking distance to People Point which was by far, my favourite eating place with good coffee.

The grumpy lady working in the restaurant detracted from the experience, given that the rest of the staff were most friendly. The vegetables that were supposedly accompanying my black pepper chicken turned out to be a bit of tomato, cucumber and three scrapes of carrot. The included breakfast was disappointing

Good place

Very big and confortable room, nice garden, right on the beach in front of turtle point (we saw them any time we entered in the sea...), gentle and helpful staff, scooter available to explore around.

Bathroom could be cleaner, and the open-roof shower maybe looks 'cool' but is just troublesome...in case of rain the bathroom gets all wet.. Breakfast could have more choice of sweet dish..only banana porridge or pancake.
