Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa

We enjoyed the property. We stayed here before and for sure we will be back. We like that it is a family oriented resort with a lots of activities for any age.

The resort used to be spotless. Right now the improvement in the cleaning on daily basis should be the must. Also the service level of employees is not consistent.

The resort is not very large and is situated right on the beach, the breeze is very pleasant in every public space. I give high marks to the resort for their quality of food and better than average drinks at the bar. Also, there was constant entertainment: shows by the pool during the day, nightly entertainment and dancing in the lobby and shows in the theater. The staff was very polite and friendly. The restaurant staff especially was very attentive, remembered us and greeted us personally. The rooms were large, with really comfortable beds, pillows and blankets. It is also very close to Cancun airport, the ride takes about 20 minutes.

The major negative is the ridiculous bathroom set up, with no enclosure, and both the sink and the TOILET having glass doors that did not even close completely. Total lack of privacy, when you can see, hear and smell everything. Even though the grounds and the pool area were always being cleaned, the restrooms in public areas (by the pool and by the lobby) were not being cleaned often enough and at times were gross.

Lack of pool chairs for everyone. Wait time in the restaurants.

Swim out was nice,

The noise from the people above was terrible, screaming kids, loud adults and water being splashed down over to our balcony. There was also glass they broke and pushed down to our balcony. We complained and the only option was to upgrade the room, which we did to the villa. That was exceptional but it was an additional $250 per day. Food was ok but nothing to rave about.
