Nothing much not to like

We stayed at Sandalwood as a family of four - two adults and two children 11 & 14 for 5 nights in a 3 bedroom pool villa with sea view - and were blown away. The villa was more spacious than we had imagined and the private pool and deck were perfect. We had way more room service than we would normally as we just enjoyed the amazing views from the terrace. The staff at Sandalwood were wonderful, such great attention to detail, and what felt like personalized service. Would not hesitate to stay here again and our 14 year old is already asking if we can come back next year.

Brilliant stay. Luxurious accommodation- having a private pool with stunning views was amazing. Being away from the main beaches of Chaweng and Lamai was a quiet haven but beaches easily accessible by the hotel shuttle (for small fare) or Grab. Onsite restaurant offers fantastic food and the masseur onsite is recommended too.

This place has the most amazing setting with stunning views. The 2 bedroom villa, ‘Lotus’ is huge with so much space for 3 of us to enjoy. We personally felt this villa had the best view and got the sun on the balcony terrace all day. Lots of nice touches around the villa with an unbelievable amount of storage. We didn’t have our own pool but overlooked the shared infinity pool which was pretty much empty whilst we were there. If you are looking for a party vibe this isn’t the place for you, but if you want a peaceful, quiet setting this is the place! We did have to spend more of our budget than planned on taxis ( both the incredibly reliable hotel shuttle and Grab) but Thailand is pretty cheap elsewhere so not a major issue. I would definitely stay here again if I went back to Koh Samui.

Obviously it’s on top of a steep hill which means walking anywhere is not possible.
