    Vikasa had wonderful yoga classes teachers, and a really beautiful facility. It is a great idea in theory, and maybe has been more rooted in the past but we noticed too many signs of it being profit focused and not wellness focused for both guests and their own staff. There were quite a few discrepancies between their mission and vision statements and what was really happening. There was a zen/detox/focused mindset promoted but you had to get their app once you checked in, communicate with the front desk through that, and constantly receive push notifications throughout the day. Throughout their entire website, it was stated that the final prices were shown, included classes, meals and services were very clear and no additional fees would be added. We arrived and were told that we booked through Agoda so that wouldn't apply and we were not actually signed up to receive meals even though a confirmation email had been sent to me with this listed as the packaged I paid for. We showed them all the receipts and emails and they apologized for their lack of clarity, but still made us pay additional meal fees. The food was great, but it left us feeling played, and not fully able to enjoy or trust the place.

    This is my second time staying at Vikasa. Everything is great except it’s located at a relatively quiet area. But that’s exactly what a yoga vacation looks like.

    Breath-taking views, very peaceful area, and unlimited yoga classes. We got a sea view cabana with a balcony and we love waking up to watching the sunrise everyday. The staff are also nice and helpful as always in my experience anywhere in Thailand. The cabana is a little difficult to get to, so will not recommend it to the elderly. Overall, we had an amazing time ❤️
