The view from the room is stunning, from the bed you see the lake and the beautiful mountains.
It is not a hip place but nothing is for free and that level of quality costs.
Have I mentioned the infinity pool which it not warmed, and the stairs to the lake - I am sure that in summer this is a great place to be.
The restaurant is exclusive however the dishes are relatively small.

The breakfast was good, but not “splendid”’as advertised. The hot food was lukewarm, and anything freshly made cost extra. The adjoining restaurant had excellent food. But the portions were stingy. Our shared appetizer ( which was supposedly enough for two) consisted of three perfectly grilled scallops, they should have had four if it was “enough” to share.
The hotel is located 1.9 miles from Iseo ( where all the restaurants, shops, and boat excursions are. We tried to get a Taxi from Iseo to the hotel none available, called the hotel and they blew us off, they told us to walk ( with luggage) or wait 2 hours catch the next train which goes only a mile past the hotel then walk from there. When we arrived all exhausted and sweaty an hour later they showed zero empathy and said we never claimed to provide shuttle service. The service was poor and the reception staff arrogant.
