Great place - pleasant service

Breakfast was tasty and appropriate to it's price. Two croissants were given to take away;) Also the place to eat has a cozy interior, like all the public places in hotel. Personal was friendly and helpful, gave a lot of recommendations. Also dinner dishes are convenient to good restaurants. In such place you feel relaxed and feel yourself special 😊

The floor in all Italy was made from tile. The summer it is nice, but the autumn we need some slippers. Because it is cold on feet. The same story is in all Italy on autumn and winter. But we can bear with it.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location.

The location of the hotel is amazing - next to the lake and close to the ferry, with lovely walks along the lake. The private beach area with olive trees and beanbags is a fantastic place to sit and relax. Rooms are nicely decorated with a contemporary feel and lots of quirky touches.

If you want to escape the crowds and have your own peace of paradise - this is it!

Perfect location, a little away from the main town on Monte Isola, with a ferry dock 50 m away. Rooms, views, staff and facilities at the inn were all fantastic. Even a private area on the lake for swimming, with the most comfortable bean bags!

Everything was great… just thought the ordered breakfast could have had more choice, like muesli/granola. It did have a good selection of bread and croissants.

Breakfast was really great. Mixed fruit, yoghurt, cooked eggs, croissants, bread, jam, cream, custard, coffee & juice! Amazing. The location is beautiful. Their spiaggia is absolutely magical, the perfect setting for a dip in the lake, & their bean bags are perfect for sunbathing. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We felt really at home. We received a text after check-in detailing all that was on offer which was so useful! We ended up renting bikes at €5 an hour to sight see. Worth every single penny - we had an incredible stay.

Nice quiet hotel with a cute vibe

It was really nicely updated and had sweet little touches like cookies on arrival and welcome cards. The bed was also comfortable and the restaurant/bar downstairs was great. The staff were really lovely too. Located in a nice quiet area on the island.

The rooms were a little basic and the bathroom wasn’t really updated.

Exceptional

All good, amazing location and staff are all very attentive. Rooms and all the building are very clean, service was great, we felt very well looked after. The food is extremely good at the bistrot, both at breakfast and at lunch/dinner where locals also seem to go. The reserved garden spot by the lake is a very nice treat also.

We had an awesome stay at this lovely property. Our room was the best we experienced in our 5 weeks touring northern Italy with a stunning view over the lake. The food was really good with breakfast having a wide choice of both hot and cold options, with dinner providing great a la carte options. Our host and his staff were helpful and very friendly and I highly recommend this property.

Bliss ,with kind people looking after us!

Beautiful location! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Close to the boat docking station. Cute relaxing area by the lake. I loved the hammock! convenient restaurant ( rated 1 on the island!). Excellent breakfast choice, that is served. Wonderful roof terrace. Already planning to return.

There is air conditioning, but it needs a tweak to get it a bit cooler. Easily solved I am sure. No lift , but staff helped so kindly with our luggage and it was good exercise.

The hotel is styled with great taste! Great location with a nice roof-top and a nearby access to the water. Drinks and food can be recommended, other good restaurants are nearby.

With the location of our room we got some of the smells of the kitchen so that one had to close the windows and turn on the air-conditioner.

a very pleasant quiet option a stone's throw from the right ferry landing

Nicely modernized with contemporary artistic touches, rooms include desks and there's a comfortable seating area / lounge on the 3rd floor. Air conditioning was good and windows could be opened on cool nights. Beds were comfortable, and breakfast, served outside on their covered patio, included a nice choice of options. There's a bar, pizza & milkshakes available during the day, and a dinner menu with some interesting chef's creations.

The location is isolated from the main tourist areas by a long walk and from other towns by the hill, so it's important to obtain a ferry pass to go anywhere else on the island OR to rent a bicycle -- if you have strong legs -- or a scooter. Be aware that there are 2 different ferry-boat landings in Sulzano and the boats from the landing closest to the ticket office will not stop at Sensole Locando! The hotel's shuttle service was not operating while we were there even tho it was indicated in our booking info. Also, not at all the hotel's fault but the long term / overnight parking in Sulzano is up the hill from the ferry landing, not the near-by lot mentioned in most tourist info.

Stylish island living on the shores of Lago d’Iseo

Such a gem! What a fantastic stay with our Golden Retriever Bertie at Sensole Locanda - with its dreamy location by Lago d’Iseo, spectacular rooftop terrace and the best cocktails we’ve ever had in Italy. It only opened in May 2022 and the Rooms are simple and minimalist, while the shared guest areas are stylishly decorated and the staff were incredibly friendly. Giovanni, the manager and owner, was a wonderful host and he has put together a great team for easily the most modern hotel we saw on the island of Monte Isola. The food was really excellent, so good we ate at the restaurant twice. Breakfast great too. Unquestionably the highlight was being able to sit with an Aperol Spritz on the grass ‘beach’ right by the lake and watch our dog Bertie have the time of his life swimming.

It was unprecedentedly hot when we stayed and while rooms have AC, it was not cold enough. Kindly we were provided with a fan too which really helped. To be honest, As long as it isn’t 32 degrees outside at night again, it would be fine.

More than expected

The staff was very kind and helpful. Everything was in walking distance. And the breakfast was really good, lots to choose from! The private beach has big pillows to relax. To top it of, a roof terrace with a grate view.

Feels like staying at Giovanni's house :)

To stay at Sensole Locanda contemporanea must feel like staying at Giovanni's house. Giovanni is the owner and he takes great care of his guests. Together with his staff they try to make all your wishes and requests possible so that you have a wonderful stay. The location on the island is very unique and the hotel has its own special charm. You feel that they are paying attention to detail. The food is created with much finesse and tastes great. They basically make everything themselve. Make sure to taste the chocolate crossaints. The private garden with direct lake access is indeed an escape from the ordinary.

As the building is quite old (but renovated) , it is not so well soundproofed so that you can hear some noises from the hallways. Maybe better door insulation might fix this easily. Maybe as an idea : bike use directly for the guests to get around the island more easily.

Absolutely fantastic stay, not only is the island beautiful but our stay was enhanced by this wonderful hotel, from the wonderful welcome when we arrived, friendliness and care of all the staff, great decor and rooms and great food. There was no vegan meal on the menu for my niece but the staff and kitchen went out of their way to supply a loverly vegan dish.

I didn't like the fact we had to leave.

Absolutely exceptional.

This was an exceptional stay. The staff was wonderful and helpful; the room was clean, comfortable and modern; the hotel had a small private beach on the lake with little tables, large beach cushions and beautiful olive and loquat trees; and the rooftop area open for guests had an incredible view overlooking Lake Iseo. Food at the restaurant was delicious. The ferry terminal (Sensole) is a flat 2 minute walk from the hotel, and the 'centre' of the island (which itself is tiny), is a 10 minute flat walk away; so the hotel was perfectly located in a semi-residential and very quiet area. This was truly a gem on Monte Isola and one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited - highly recommended for a relaxing solo or couples' stay!

The only minor downside was that sound travelled through the marble hallways, so sleeping early was difficult with other guests moving through the corridors or having a drink at the bar.

Attention is rigorously paid to every detail

Details, details, details. The devil lies in the details as the saying goes. Here is the exact opposite - under very new, young, dynamic and motivated management there is rigourous attention to detail. The website, the menus, the use of IT in a small family-run structure, the vehicle used to pick us up from the ferry, the cushions on the private beach, the correct glass for each type of drink ...... the list goes on. It's great to see such motivated and dynamic management in people still in their mid twenties. Oh and before I forget the location is stunning.

Отличное расположение отеля в тихом месте с видом и на озеро, и на горы. Уютный номер с удобными кроватями и возможностью самому регулировать температуру. Есть терраса, ресторан и бар. Сервируют завтрак и выглядит он потрясающе. Ужин в ресторане был на высоте, вкусно и отличный выбор вин. Обслуживание тоже на уровне

Veramente piacevole e rilassante

La struttura non abituale , molto carina . L atmosfera accogliente , la gentilezza spontanea della titolare e dello staff che ti mette da subito a tuo agio. La pulizia eccellente , gli spazi comuni la stanza lettura dove mia nipote ha adorato i puff da riposo.. La terrazza con vista e il cibo ..tutto ottimo .
