If you don't mind the uncleanliness, this is a place to stay.

In the truest sense of the word, a "cheap place to stay"! A magnificent and impressive building with the morbid chic of the past!

The photos on the portal do not reflect reality! The cleanliness is only superficial, in the room / bathroom were spider webs everywhere!

Great stay, great location and great value for money

The location was excellent. The breakfast was good but the number of items can be increased as currently its only a limited set. Room was excellent and very spacious. Parking is free. But, overall a great experience

One bed in the room, a sofa bed was not comfy. Breakfast selection is limited.

Spontaneous - easy - price ok - enough parking outside.

Check-In was very easy via a screen (no staff) and possible until 12.00 a.m. - we checked in at about 10.30 p.m. no problem whatsoever. Room was clean and nothing to complain about. Perfect for spontaneous late night trips to ticino.

Price was ok, could be cheaper for what it is. Bathroom seems very old, but did the job and was clean enough.

No doubts, we'll come back!

It was a nice weekend in Locarno. It was very easy self check-in. The Room was quiet big, with high ceiling, clean and in classic design. The balcony for two persons, the view from balcony amazing! I was very happy with staff communications. I forgot my phone charger, so they found it and I came back on the same day. Thank you so much for the quick reaction and help. Wish you a good season!

Good value for money, not a huge fan of this online check in system - it feels like an airport!

Breakfast service was excellent. The guy who worked there was very helpful in setting us up with free public transport passes. Fabulous old building - looks lovely on the outside.

Very strange set up. Other than breakfast service there were no employees apart from one guy who was there to assist with any of the check in machines. Pool was not in service and rooms could do with some investment, very tired.

Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff were polite and friendly .

For 6 days the room was not cleaned, our garbage cans were full . On day 4 we had to “fight” to get clean towels . The elevator was dirty . The managers did not answer telephone calls

Nice hotel, nice location, great view but needs 1 staff member 24 hours in attendance.

We were at the hotel for three nights, every night we had noisy neighbours but with no staff in attendance, there was no one to remedy the situation.

Information on booking.com is not complete about this facility. The swimming pool doesn't work, there is no staff, all Remote via a screen in the lobby. The parking facility is difficult to find, we accidentally saw the printout pictures on a column in the lobby that showed where to park, also instructions were incorrect, the parking door is supposed to open with a QR code, but it opens to anyone! Room was very small, barely possible to walk , same as for the bathroom. It is good for a pitstop of one night, but definitely not for a vacation. Very overpriced for what you get

The beds were comfy and the breakfast was great

The shower door did not close, and there was no parking which meant leaving the car offsite. Even though it was all ‘no staff, electronic check in/out’ it felt a little uncomfortable mainly as I opened the balcony door and didn’t realise that it automatically opened our bedroom door which was wide open by the time we woke up! Also - no tv channels, so kids couldn’t watch anything!

Easy access to the city, walking distance from the lake, clean, big room, comfortable bed, very efficient check in and check out, great value for money, if you care about the view take lake side, it’s wonderful. Free parking, relaxing garden. Overall a very charming hotel

Unfortunately, I was not the guest. I paid for the rooms for my son Michael Butora and my sister-in-law Maria Waser. Therefore, I can not answer 100% to your questions. But I heard only the best. Especially I would like to thank one of your employees. Patrick is his name - he was very nice, took his time and helped me with the reservation and payment of the two rooms at the hotel terminal. Bravo and many thanks. I will be back

The hotel offer a great value, automatic check in and decent breakfast with a great view over the city, lake and mountains, what else would you wish for?

Some guests may get noisy in the eve/night and could in some cases be heard, but it's common also in other hotels, so no big deal.
