KYTHIRA ISLAND RETREAT

Βρίσκεται σε έναν μικρό οικισμό, απομονωμένο, ήσυχο και ταυτόχρονα σε πολύ κεντρικό σημείο του νησιού, που εξυπηρετούσε πολύ. Μεγάλο σούπερ μάρκετ ΑΒ και καφετέρια στα 5' (Τσικαλαρία) και ο φούρνος του Κασσιμάτη στο Λιβάδι λίγο πιο κάτω (6-7'), αν δεν θέλετε να χρησιμοποιήσετε την πλήρως εξοπλισμένη κουζίνα. Η Χώρα σε 15' και όλες οι παραλίες και τα αξιοθέατα ήταν περίπου 20' (σε αντίθεση με το να μένεις Χώρα ή Καψάλη, οπότε κι έχεις πιο μεγάλες διαδρομές στο νησί και δυσκολία να παρκάρεις κάθε φορά που θα γυρίζεις στο δωμάτιο - στην Χώρα θα το αφήνετε εκτός οικισμού). Είναι πολύ άνετο εσωτερικά, με 5-6 σκαλοπάτια χωρίζει μάλιστα η κρεβατοκάμαρα από το κάτω επίπεδο και με δικό της εξωτερικό χώρο είναι και σαν αυτόνομη, μας άρεσε πολύ αυτό. Είναι πεντακάθαρο, περιποιημένο και με πολλά επίπεδα και σαλονάκια στον εξωτερικό χώρο για κάθε ώρα της ημέρας. Θα το επιλέγαμε σίγουρα αν επισκεπτόμασταν το νησί ξανά.

The property overall was marvelous! It had everything you could possibly need. It was spotless, impressively clean. And when I say clean, I mean clean! :) Spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was extremely well equipped; all pots, pans, and spatulas etc were there, a nice espresso coffee maker. The works! The bathroom was very cute and with great lighting, even a washing machine and detergent provided. The A/C units worked perfectly - absolutely necessary for these Greek summers. Oh and all areas decorated in a cozy way, respecting the local island vibe and architecture. Then there is the outdoor space and garden. We really enjoyed it. My little one had ample space to play and even shoot some hoops with his dad :D This place makes you want to stay longer. I wish we could have. And would love to go back someday. As for the hosts, Ms Anna welcomes you to the place. She is a genuinely nice person and always available. And then there is Fiona Areti, the property owner who was not there at the time - but even so, let's just say my family and I have made a new friend :) Till next time...

The house was vey cozy and we felt like home. It was ideal for a family of four equipped with everything that you might need. The location was perfect as a basis to move around the island. Fiona the owner, while we only spoke over the phone, is an amazing host that made us feel very welcomed at her house and was extremely helpful and kind.
