The Barn Kythira Heritage Stay

A beautiful small house, well suited to a family. The kitchen is fully equipped — we prepared both breakfast and dinner without difficulty. The house is tastefully decorated and sits in a small town in the centre of the island, with everything you need close by: a supermarket, butcher, restaurants, bars, shops, and a petrol station. The central location also makes the rest of the island easy to reach. The beds were very comfortable, and we were allowed to check in early at no extra charge, which was a nice touch.

The house was a little small for our family of five (four adults and one teenager). The two bedrooms are also connected by a steep staircase, so there is little privacy between them. Access is somewhat tricky — very narrow streets, followed by a small walkway across fields. It didn't bother us, but others may find it challenging. The internet was down for a day, and at one point the water ran yellow, thankfully only for a few hours. Both problems stemmed from island-wide issues rather than the house itself, and the owner was very responsive and resolved them quickly.

Όμορφα ανακαινισμένο πετρόκτιστο μέσα στη φύση, μόλις 2 λεπτά με τα πόδια από το κέντρο του ποταμού, απόλυτα ήσυχο και επαρκώς εξοπλισμένο. Οι σκάλες που οδηγούν στο οντά είναι λίγο tricky για μικρά παιδιά ή ηλικιωμένους, αλλά αυτό δεν είναι πρόβλημα, αφού το κυρίως υπνοδωμάτιο είναι στο ισόγειο. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα. Θα επιστρέψουμε σίγουρα
