The studios are located in the lovely seaside town of Avlemonas. Our host accommodated our early arrival and allowed us to extend our departure time for a couple more hours due to a later flight. She also gave us lots of useful information about the island.
The property has everything you need with cooking facilities if you require and is situated just a few yards from the sea.
We visited in mid-September and there was a choice of 4 or 5 restaurants for dinner. Parking facilities are excellent - you will need a hire car to get around the island!
Kythera is a beautiful island and, having explored most of it, we can say Avlemonas is the most charming seaside village to stay in. Kanellis studios is a great place to stay and use as a base to explore the island.
The bathroom was fine functionally but the decor could do with being brighter.

Emplacement sympa pour profiter de la crique.
Le mobilier est globalement vieillissant, ce qui donne une impression de fatigue au lieu.
Le lit destiné à l’enfant était peu confortable, avec un matelas raide.
La robinetterie fait beaucoup de bruit à l’usage, tout comme certaines portes qui grincent ou claquent.
L’ensemble est en dessous de ce à quoi on pouvait s’attendre, au vu de la description et des photos.
Et enfin, nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de trouver un cafard dans la salle de bain.
