Rodamia Traditional Cottage

This place is a miracle. Spyros has converted this old family house into a guesthouse with a welcoming spirit. 3 apartments of different sizes are together without bothering each other at all. We stayed in the smallest, but it was still absolutely convenient and comfortable. The way it was renovated reflects and keeps the heritage and tradition of Kythirean architecture with the forms, shapes colours of the walls, chimneys, courtyards, but it is equipped with everything a 21st century visitor may need. The interior designer would deserve a prize for creating this special atmosphere. To explore each and every single beautiful and heartful detail is a joy. On the other hand, it gives you a constantly working strong Wi-Fi, air-condition, hot-water, cooking, ironing option, insulated windows. The bed is super comfy, the cleanliness is top, the cleaning lady is a very kind woman. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, nespresso coffee machine helps you in the mornings and a few coffee capsules are in the welcome pack. The provided local delicious olive oil and oregano deserve a special appreciation. You find the mugs and plates of the local family-owned ceramic workshop Roussos all across the place, another kind sign of inviting the local products into your home. Location is excellent for those who wish to explore the island owing to its central location in a very peaceful little mountain village called Logothetianika. Two supermarkets, and a gas station is close by, the nearest larger "town" Potamos is also easily reachable. Spyros has a long list of validated offers what to see in Kythira, where to go, scenic spots, beaches, where to eat, shop - all are in max 30 min. We just texted with him, could not meet, but there was an immediate connection and we could convey our congratulation. A few practical thing: the village is very small, the streets are very narrow, so a small car is recommended.

Η διαμονή μας στο Rodamia Traditional Cottage ήταν εξαιρετική! Το διαμέρισμα είχε χαρακτήρα, όμορφη αρχιτεκτονική και αυθεντικότητα. Ήταν πεντακάθαρο και πλήρως εξοπλισμένο με ό,τι μπορεί να χρειαστεί κανείς στη διάρκεια της διαμονής του. Ο Σπύρος και η ομάδα του είχαν φροντίσει κάθε λεπτομέρεια, κάνοντάς μας να νιώσουμε πραγματικά σαν στο σπίτι μας. Προτείνεται ανεπιφύλακτα και για μεγάλες διαμονές. Ο ιδιοκτήτης μάς παρείχε επίσης έναν εξαιρετικό χάρτη με προτάσεις και χρήσιμες πληροφορίες για τα Κύθηρα, που αποδείχθηκε πολύ βοηθητικός. Η τοποθεσία είναι ιδανική· οι αποστάσεις προς όλα τα μέρη του νησιού είναι μικρές (20–30 λεπτά το πολύ), ενώ το χωριό Λογοθετιάνικα είναι πανέμορφο, γραφικό και αυθεντικό. Ευχαριστούμε θερμά για τη φιλοξενία, σίγουρα θα επιστρέψουμε σύντομα!
