Great base to explore Black Forest

Location was fab! Coffee was a lovely addition!

We had a lot of cases and it was a lot of steps but still lovely. It was smaller than we expected looking at pictures but was more than adequate.

Beautiful apartment close to everything

The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable. It is an easy walk to everything we wanted to see in Gengenbach, including hikes outside of town.

I would recommend Roser Suiten.

Friendly, helpful host. We had the smaller of the suites, but it was tastefully decorated and well appointed. The suite was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. It is located right in the old town.

I would probably rent one of the larger suites if I was going to be any longer than 3 nights.

Fantastic

This was the nicest property I have ever stayed in for this price point. It was just so beautiful, quant and clean. We were in the center of town, yet the room was quiet. The bed was so comfortable and we were provided with 2 duvets. I would love to come back and stay for a longer period of time. The town itself was so authentic and it did not feel touristy at all. Absolutely loved it. The girl that checked us in was delightful.

Great apartment to visit Gengenbach

The apartment was located at the town center and it was very spacious. There was air conditioning.

The parking is alright but the spot is quite tight. If you are driving a large car and you do not like to maneuver, it may be better to park outside. The wifi signal was OK but the internet connection dropped all the time. It could have been better.

Perfect for short stays

The apartment has a magnificent location, it is very nice and bright, spacious and the towels are changed every 4 days. The host is OK (friendly-german-style), that means friendlier than the norther, and definitely less than the souther.

There is room for improvement, the apartment is not for stays of more than two days, there is neither a washing machine nor a simple broom or a clothesline, a 5th chair for 5 guests could be greatly welcomed too. Parking is just fair, narrow for a compact car. Host invites you to a coffee or tea per person, great but if they are children also coffee or tea, even after spending 1,900 eur, so the invitation is not very family friendly, but thanks anyway.

A family vacation (6 adults 2 kiddos)

EVERYTHING! Love the village and the Cafe. Every morning we walked across the square to the bakery for our brotchen and pastries. Every evening the family came together to sit outside the Cafe for beer, wine, kuchen and ice cream. Our two grandchildren (6yr and 18 mos) loved the cow statues, the playground near by and the village square. We had 2 of the rooms [the classic car and the Marrakesh). Bathroom and kitchen space fabulous. Beds so comfy! Air conditioning a true blessing. Cannot recommend enough!

Absolutely nothing! Quick FYI, they do provide toilet paper and other necessities but if you run out you will need to purchase at the local lebensmittal (grocery) store located near the bakery (3 min) walk.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Something thing's to keep in if you would like towels more often. We were told they only change towels every five days and there was a fee of 3 euros fee if you wanted towels daily. After reviewing policies and extra fee's. I did not see the extra towel fee. I would highly suggest adding that to acrew fee's area.

The location was exceptional, a few steps away from the town square and Christmas markets. The manager was extremely helpful and gave us a free bus pass and discount at local attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

We met at the Cappuccino restaurant directly across from the property. They offered a welcome drink and sat down with us to talk about the Gengenbach area.

There was nobody to tend to my check in when I arrived before 3pm. They came out to meet me after I called them and they were very nice and friendly. I just feel that the check in process could be improved.

The food at the cafe owned by the property is awesome. The property is near to train station so it is very easy to commute.

They gave thin blankets. Of course I could have asked for thicker ones but was too lazy to do that :D.

Very central and easy for me to find restaurants. Apartment was very clean and loads of space. Great to have a good sized kitchen with all facilities.

Only a slight noise from the neighbour and cafe visitors. No hooks in the bathroom to hang towels.

A unique accommodation in a beautiful town

It was unique, the furniture and the decor were Moroccan influenced and very elegant. The property was very clean & had everything in the kitchen to dine in if one wanted to. Location was very central and handy to the train station, main square and the swimming pool.

the staircases to get up to the flat were steep and narrow. Someone with limited mobility may struggle.

It was a spacious apartment and well-equipped with appliances, etc. The location was excellent - a short walk from the station and right in the town.

Although the apartment had all the appliances, etc that I needed, it lacked some basic items that would have been useful. For example: there was not salt, pepper, oil, tea or coffee (apart from 2 coffee bags for the coffee maker). There was no kitchen paper or washing-up sponge, only one dishwasher tablet for a 5-night stay, and no spare bin-bags for the small bin.

Everything! The decoration and organisation of the spaces. To learn the history of the building and its conservation was a plus. The divisions were spotless clean and friendly to the eye. All important facilities incl. coffee machine available. Would love to come back again!!!!!!

Haus Roser is the perfect place to stay when visiting Gengenbach and exploring the Black Forest.

We loved the location of Haus Roser in the Gengenbach Aldstat, the apartment was new, very clean and had quality fittings and decor throughout. Our hosts communicated very well and kindly picked us up at the train station on arrival which was very much appreciated after our long flight from Australia. Thank you Thomas and family for your hospitality.
