Our room was so comfortable. The bed, pillows and linens made for a very comfortable sleep. We could control the heat and the windows had screens. Everything was immaculately clean. The homemade breakfast was delicious and way more than we could eat. The cappuccino was hot. We just loved the hosts Francesco and Angelica. We had many lively conversations and they were helpful and never intrusive. The property is restful and feels like home.

The house was very attractively decorated- full of books and antiques. The bedroom was very large and comfortable and there was a lovely lounge available as well , again with books, magazines and tea and coffee making facilities. The hosts were friendly, interesting and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous - all homemade. House was immaculate.

What an amazing and unique place, everything has been placed with such creativity and care. Francisco and his wife were very accommodating and well organized! The breakfast was worth the trip itself! Wonderful place, wish we could have stayed longer ! Thank you so much!

It was a thrill to be in the farmhouse after learning a bit of the history. Francesco has put so much work into it, and it was clearly a labor of love. The history and setting make Podere Merlo a special place. The hosts are generous and trusting to open up their library also with old books and magazines in several languages.
The rooms are immaculately clean.
It would be helpful to have a sign on the opposite side of the road also (across from the driveway) since we missed the driveway initially.
