Watch nature at its best or take advantage of the proximity to the swing bridge to watch the spectacular fireworks display over the 4th of July. Being offset, this unit maintains 180 degrees unobstructed views of the sound while maintaining the privacy you would expect from a single family home.
Clean modern decor with a beach flair, provides both comfort and fun. 5 bedrooms(K, Q, Q, 2T, 2Q) provide comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to 12 Adults. The house was perfect for our group. Kitchen well equipped. Loved sitting on back deck...very quiet and relaxing. We rented a golf cart which help greatly with getting everyone and our gear to the beach. Owners were easy to work with before and during our trip.

It was really nice to have 5 bedrooms with private balconies . The kitchen was small however stocked well with pots, pans, glassware etc… the house is located close to the beach however, the main roadway was super busy and we usually loaded all the beach stuff up in a truck and dropped it off at the public beach access parking area (14) where the family could carry it to the beach.
Bonus ….. there is a free public parking lot across the street from a Catholic Church ( one block from the beach)… we parked there everyday while at the beach.
We spent a lot of time at the beach, the water was very blue. During high tide the width of the beach shrunk, we learned to set up our beach tent right beside the sand dunes.
The family loved the house, we had a minor issue with the fridge on day 1. The owner went and bought coolers /ice for our food and drink. The fridge simply needed to be unplugged and it re set and worked fine ..
We would definitely stay here again.

Our family has been renting homes in North Carolina for over 30 years for our reunions. This year, the family rented 6 homes including this one.Pros: view of the sound and sunsets, 2 kayaks, community dock, parking for 5 vehicles if needed, secluded from main road and other housing. The beaches are a few blocks away with parking available. Close to shops and restaurants.Cons: Poor housekeeping service as we found numerous alcohol containers in the top floor bedroom, dust, hair, used covid test and a dead bug. An inner door knob fell off, a blade is missing from a deck ceiling fan, no water pressure in the outside shower, lack of space to unpack clothes to, no door hooks, some appliances could use an upgrade, the garbage disposal with sink drain issues occurred end of the week. The combination for the side door entrance stopped working and we had to use the carport entrance.recommend if any issues arise, to document with photos and report issues to the owner via the VRBO app only. Do not leave anything in the refrigerator on departure, Even though we loved the location and view and tolerated the "cons" listed above, our family will not be staying here again.
