Papas Villa is a gem. Far up in the mountains deep in rice field country, surrounded by agriculture, fresh air, and spiritual sound of religious chanting. The vila is sublime. Beautifully designed and perfectly furnished. The porch is an ideal place to hang out in the morning for a front row seat for a spectacular sunset, and in the afternoon for the cool breeze and rice field view.
The beautiful pool is completely private so you can hop out for a midnight swim as you wish. It is also salt-cleaned to these is hardly any chemical treatment.
Since there are only a few villas there, the breakfast area is cozy and beautiful. A member of the family will cook you a perfect omelette, rice or banana pancake, along with a bowl of fruit, and the most spectacular Balinese coffee you have ever tasted.
The place is family owned, so get to know them. Made will drive you around and show you gems in the area for a really reasonable price is also a master wood carver. Ketut who is a rice farmer and wood carver turned tour guide has an honest and deep perspective and will teach you customs and show you the best templates and all the non-touristy spots.
The fields and villages in the area provide a perfect set for hikes. The area is full of wood carving shops, as many of the people there learn to carve from a young age as a spiritual practice.
We are absolutely going to come back next year. Thank you.

The complex is beautiful with an infinity pool with amazing views over the rice terraces. The place is family run giving a personal touch. The guys are very helpful with breakfast, transportation and setting up unbelievable excursions. Take their recommendations! Food was amazing too, catering well for an allergy. All the family were amazing but a special shout out to ketut! It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with you. Hopefully we’ll be back in the future.
