An absolutely amazing stay at pondok Sebatu.
The view from my villa was incredible and the all the staff were very welcoming and friendly.
The meals at the restaurant are very nice and was great.
I really enjoyed my stay here.
Sebatu is a beautiful village about 25mins from Ubud and there's plenty to do.
Nothing at all.

It is nice place.

The view was fantastic, as everything looked out on serene rice fields. The staff were beyond kind and accommodating. The breakfast was very filling. The free shuttle to Ubud was also a great deal.
The bathrooms were quite outdated and I smelled a lot of mold. They didn’t feel very clean-lots of mosquitoes and flies within. In one bathroom, the showerhead wasn’t even facing a way that could allow an adult to shower. They had to take the nozzle into the tub, which was awkward for the height of an adult. The bedsheets (duvet and pillow cases) were well used and stained. I didn’t feel like the bedsheets and mattress were very comfortable.

This is a dream place , we highly recommend it. Our villa was gorgeous and had an amazing view over the lake and the small river. That’s why we decided to add an extra night to our stay! The reception and restaurant staff was amazing! Thank you so much Intan for welcoming us and providing us with all the info we needed!

Everything was super cool! Amazing hotel in the jungle with stunning views and a private pool! Excellent and delicious breakfasts! Rice terraces and waterfalls are nearby. The hotel offers a free daily shuttle to and from Ubud. The staff is very pleasant and friendly, they helped with everything. I highly recommend it!

The most incredible jungle backdrop I’ve ever seen
About 30-45mins from Ubud but the view makes it worthwhile

The stuff is extremely friendly and makes everything possible to make your wishes come true. We enjoyed an amazing full body massage and a delicious dinner at the hotel. Everything was wonderful!
Nothing, just be mindful that the location is quite isolated. It's very relaxing to be in the middle of nowhere but it should be taken into account when planning a holiday.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful.
The place was beautiful and out of the craziness of Ubud.
The menu at the restaurant showed multiple options but never had fish.

We stayed at Pondok Sebatu Villa and overall had a mixed experience. The staff were wonderful – very welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were cleaned daily, which we appreciated. However, the bathrooms clearly hadn’t had a deep clean in a long time – there were visible stains and they felt generally neglected.
One of the biggest issues for us was cleanliness regarding pests. Unfortunately, we saw rats around the property and even found rat droppings inside our room on two out of three mornings. We could hear them moving around at night, which made it hard to feel comfortable and relaxed.
For the price we paid, we felt that the quality of the accommodation was disappointing. While the setting is beautiful and the staff do their best, we expected a much higher standard of maintenance and hygiene.

Clean, private.
No hot water. Not sure how this can happen to a 5 stars resort.

- Really loved the layout of the hotel very green and kept well
- Greenery and flowers surrounding the villa create a nice effect along with the nice views.
Disappointed with the service, we booked a villa with private pool (5 people together).
- Pool lights were off in the evening, when we asked them to be turned on we were told they may be broken, will be checked only tomorrow.
- Pool fountains were closed: when asked, we are told the fountains are closed in the evening as per policy. (What was the point of booking a private pool villa?)
- 2 Bottles of water kept in the room per day, fair enough, in the night when we asked for more water (and we said we will pay for it) we were told, cannot give as no one in the hotel to give water. Finally when we made a noise few bottles came.
- The breakfast area had a nice balcony which we requested a day prior while ordering food if we can reserve a part of the area good views and tables to have breakfast all together at 7am (5 of us). We received a blunt no as "couples" were "booked and reserved" with the preferred view seating for breakfast. The restaurant area was empty till 8.30 am till we finished breakfast no-one showed up. Just lack of intent to go an extra mile to make a memorable experience for tourists.
- One of the couples we travelled with were strict veg due to religious requirements over that period, we asked for certain food to be veg, the hotel fed them chicken spring rolls and argued that the chef says it was vegetarian while we have chicken that we see on out plates. Well done!
- Their offer to compensation the troubles was to give us floating breakfast on the day of check-out, but to our surprise in the morning we were told we don't have enough trays for all 5 of us to have breakfast together so go in pairs AND CLICK PICTURES!!!
- At the time of check-out the pending payment being settled no courtesy was shown on the time wasted and rather poor service given till we asked.
- Overall the service received was very ordinary and did not expect this in a place which is known for good hospitality and service. Downgrade the rating! @Booking.

Beautiful property with very helpful staff. The villas are nicely separated so you feel nice and secluded. The food at the restaurant was good enough, and the spa service massage was fantastic. Staff were always accommodating and having everything flow through a WhatsApp chat was very efficient and convenient. Really nice location if you plan on booking a driver for all your excursions in the north.
One of the duck dishes wasn't very good (clearly reheated and still a bit cold in parts), but otherwise the food was good. The sink in our room also wasn't quite aligned well with the tap, so water splashed everywhere.

We arrived when it is dark and directly went to sleep but were greeted with the most amazing view from the morning view. The room is overlooking a beautiful paddy field which is non-accessible since it's not owned by Pondok Sebatu. The vibe of the room is very romantic and overall villa is nice for the price. It is very near to Tegallagang Rice Terrace which really helps us get to this famous place really early and avoid the crowd. he restaurant comes with a very beautiful view as well, very serene. They provided us with iron which is always a plus!
The bathroom floor keeps being messy with sand which I don't like even after housekeeping. The breakfast menu for English breakfast is not that enjoyable so next time we will choose the Balinese breakfast I think. Sad that we're not able to choose the menu for take away option since we're out quite early.

Stunning location, attentive staff, very cute room
Although advertising as accessible there are steps everywhere. Saying that, the staff rearranged our accommodation, and provided room service to make our stay possible

So many animals in the room. Window should be covered with net. So that animals can’t come in.

This place is perfect for those that want to just switch off. We had a Villa on the river with a private pool. It was wonderful watch the wildfife and just relaxing. However, it wasn't totally private as other residents can sit and walk that area.
The staff were also great. And the view from the eating area is stunningly beautiful. Highly recommmended.
The food options could be better for vegetarians. But what they had was lovely

We had a beautiful brand new villa with an absolutely beautiful view across the rice fields and valley
We were under the impression when we booked this property it was on flat land in the middle of rice fields as per the photos on booking.com. Instead were were perched on the side of a very steep valley. Every time we left our villa it involved climbing up or down multiple steps. Management however realised when we questioned it that the photos on booking.com in fact were of their partner property the Pondok Sebatu Eco lodge. They organised for us to spend our last night at this property which would have suited us much better as it was flat and surrounded by rice fields. The management went out of their way to provide transport to move us from one property to the other.

Set amongst the rice terraces this gorgeous hide away offers so much more than just accomodation, staying here is an experience in itself. Each villa is nestled into the hillside creating gorgeous uninterrupted views creating the most beautiful scenery from anywhere within the property grounds. Away from the hustle and bustle it is the perfect place to unwind and relax. We enjoyed 5 perfect days here and each and every one we experienced the most incredible service from Yogi and all of the beautiful staff at the villa from reception, restaurant, housekeeping, massage and maintenance everything was carried out to perfection and with a smile. If you enjoy coming to Bali to experience Bali in its truest form you will love Pondok Sebatu Villa. Our heartfelt thanks to all that made our stay such a perfect one.

the first room wasn’t the same as pictured, we was
then given the room we expected (from the online

double check with the property as all the photos
are basically the same one room!
the first room we was given wasn’t the cleanest and
didn’t look like the photos.
shower isn’t great, had to constantly turn the taps
to get hot water. One minute it’s boiling next freezing
