Anandari Ubud Villa

Incredible villa, staff were always smiling and couldn’t do enough to help. If you’re looking to relax then this is the place for you.

A little far from the town but this didn’t affect us as we just got a taxi (the villas provide a taxi service each day too) but if you want to walk out to the local street stalls and restaurants this is easily done by thin a few minutes.

The outdoor bathroom as at night there are sounds of frogs and so but this is normal in ubud since it is a forest but the staff always came quickly whenever we called them to check something

This villa was stunning. We loved every minute of our stay here. The staff were so kind and friendly. The bed was very comfortable. The free shuttle in and out of ubud town was great. Ubud town was very busy and noisy with traffic. The villas are about a 30 minute drive away so lovely and peaceful. They are walking distance to the rice fields and a number of restaurants. We will recommend to anyone we know visiting Ubud.

This was the most beautiful accommodation we have ever stayed in. The beauty of the jungle is truly superb and it was a hard time to leave at the end of our journey.❤️ The staff was incredible, they are smiling all the time and helping you with anything you need. They also provide free water in the room daily, free shuttles from/to Ubud. You can also have food delivered or massages. 😍 We felt like home and we also had our honeymoon here so it will be forever in our hearts.

Nothing in particular. Just the spiders are a little creepy, but you are in the jungle. You have to assume you will also find animals - just keep the bed curtains. The geckos are lovely and actually liked having them around.

The exceptional location, right in front of spectacular rice terraces and close enough to ubud center. The villa is beautiful in a calm and serene environment. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you don’t miss anything. You can make deliver a scooter directly at the property, or order food easily. They even managed to get our laundry done in half day and we had massage in room for really good local prices. Fully recommend this locally owned villa !

We did extensive research for our honeymoon in Bali and finally decided on Anandari – and it was absolutely the best decision we could have made. A month before our arrival we had informed the hotel that we were coming for our honeymoon, and when we checked in, the room was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Our villa looked exactly like the photos and was simply amazing. The floating breakfast was delicious, and the in-room massage was also excellent. You truly feel like you’re on a honeymoon here. The villa was spotless throughout our 5-night stay, and we never saw a single mosquito or bug inside. Outside in the evenings there are mosquitoes and insects (as expected in Bali), but if you’re careful, you won’t have any issues in the room. Plus, the bed has a canopy with mosquito netting, so you sleep very comfortably. The location is fantastic: just a 1–2 minute walk to the Tegallalang rice terraces and Tis Café, which I strongly recommend – in my opinion, it’s one of the best restaurants in Bali for both ambiance and food. Alas Harum is also just a 15–20 minute walk away. The hotel is slightly outside of town but close to all these attractions. They also provide a free daily shuttle (round trip), which is a great service. The staff are incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful. I want to share something very important for future guests: I had to exchange money at a small red-signed money changer between the hotel and Alas Harum. Normally, I only use bigger offices, but I had no choice this time. I exchanged 3 million IDR, which they gave me in 50,000 notes, separating them into stacks of 1 million each. I counted them all and placed them on the table, but with sleight of hand they took 1 million back and only gave me 2 million. I realized it as soon as I returned to the hotel and told reception. One of the staff immediately offered to help and even drove me back on his motorbike. He spoke with them, and they returned the stolen 1 million right away.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive – they truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The location could not be more perfect, just across from the famous rice terraces, and the villas themselves are beautiful and authentic, with breathtaking views of the jungle. The breakfast was delicious, and every detail of the stay made us feel right at home. We loved our villa so much that, after trying another place we didn’t enjoy, we immediately returned here on the day of our departure. That says it all! A truly memorable experience – you feel cared for in every way, and all your wishes are fulfilled. We would return anytime without hesitation.

The villa is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a peaceful, tropical escape. The staff were extremely hospitable and kind throughout our stay. The private pool and the natural setting added to the overall relaxing experience.

Slightly out the way for amenities but not a problem.

The view is amazing. You are literally in a jungle and it is so refreshing and peaceful. You have a maximum privacy and the staff is always there for you.

It is a jungle so prepare for all kinds of animals but nothing is going to happen just keep your doors closed.

Everything. Staff is amazing I don't think I found a location with such a good staff anywhere else. Everything that you can think of they can set up for you. The location is in a perfect spot not to crowded but close enough to Ubud. Is pretty central so you can explore all the waterfalls in Bali

Nothing I regret I didn't stayed longer

My husband and I loved staying here. The location was perfect for us. We wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud City Centre, but this villa was so conveniently located walking distance from so many affordable restaurants with stunning rice terrace views, walking distance from a couple of convenience stores, and walking distance from a gym. The villa also offers a free shuttle bus to Ubud City Centre every single day, they drop you off and pick you up. So we barely had to spend any $$ on getting around each day. The daily breakfast was also delicious. Every day you get to choose a main meal, served with a juice, a plate of fruit per person, a basket of pastries, and a tea or coffee. It was really great value for money, highly recommend opting for the breakfast included booking option. The service was also exceptional, the staff were so friendly and accomodating. And the villa itself was even better in person than the pictures. So beautiful and peaceful.

You will encounter natural wildlife like geckos, frogs, and large flying insects around the villa but that is just due to the natural landscape and the bathroom being outdoors. We did end up with a wasp inside our villa once, but the staff were so helpful in taking care of it for us immediately. It wasn't at all a dealbreaker. Just something to be mindful of.

The size of the room was small

Everything about this place is just 10/10 and i have no complaints whatsoever. I had the most beautiful stays I have had in my life. It is exotic, beautiful, away from the chaos and the team here is just the bet part about staying here. The service of the manggala bali team is better than most 5star or 7star properties I have stayed at and the free shuttle service comes in handy. The team also curated breakfast to our need since we were vegetarians and made sure we felt at home.

Nothing that I didn't like. I would just like to suggest to make a place to keep the bags in room like a table.

The facilities were excellent and we loved the location of the property - it was so nice waking up to all the birds singing and the pool overlooking the beautiful trees. Breakfast each day was great and the staff were so lovely and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here :)

No cons at all

We LOVED it here. Even more beautiful in person and the location is so peaceful and private. The bed was very comfortable with lovely soft sheets. The service is incredible, you are given a mobile with staff numbers and can ring anytime for queries. The staff are so helpful and friendly and really go above and beyond. There is a free private shuttle you can book 30 mins before you need it to take you into Ubud, takes around 30 mins and can get it anytime up to 10pm. The villa is further out of central Ubud but we split our time between Anandari and a more central accommodation and wished we had spent the full time at Anandari instead. It’s perfectly located for the rice terraces and across the road are a selection of restaurants and cafes as well as shops if not wanting to travel into Ubud central. You can also order breakfast/lunch/dinner to the villa for a good price and drinking water is provided and refilled for free whenever needed. Really hope we can come back one day!!

More storage in the bedroom would have been great, but this is a minor inconvenience on what was a great stay!

Staff was amazing and made us feel welcomed from the first second. They made sure all needs were met. Location and view was stunning. Really felt like a private oasis.

Bathroom smelled a little like mold and was HUGE. Feel like having an indoor living room would have been better, as we had spa services done in our bedroom.

This villa is very clean and comfortable and has an amazing view. There are currently 2 villas, each with their own entrance.. The staff are very attentive, kind and helpful.They helped us book a private driver our last day to take us to the airport and negotiated the price for us. The staff were really the highlight of this place.

We were not made aware before arriving that there are more villas being built and construction from about 7 am to 6 pm every day. This ruined the private environment since the workers were right beside our villa, and the makeshift fence was not fully closed, so we could see the workers from our pool. They also woke us up every morning with the noise and made relaxing at the villa difficult during the day. The restaurant is also currently closed, so you are able to buy breakfast and lunch at the Villa but not dinner. We arrived at 9pm our first night and had to buy snacks from the mini mart because no surrounding restaurants were open. For the price of this place we expected more.
