A Perfect Hideaway - Lake Tekapo

The views were beyond comprehension, each morning we were in awe of the snow! The property staff answered all of our questions and were prompt to reply! We were able to walk within 5mins to the walkways and then able to walk to the Good Shepherd Church ❤️

Everything was great!

The cabin was in a great spot just a short walk down to a very scenic spot by the lake. The facilities were great, lovely kitchen and comfy bed. The neighbourhood was very quiet and peaceful.

We were informed before we arrived that a new house was being built directly in front of the cabin. It has spoilt the view but the actual building work did not disturb us too much. There is a streetlight in front of the cabin that shines directly into the main bedroom unless you completely close the door. This is very disturbing at night. It was also very difficult to regulate the temperature inside. It went from very cold in the morning so we had to run the heaters and then by the afternoon once the sun came through the unscreened windows it became really hot even with all the windows open.

Very light and extremely comfortable accommodation.

Currently the site being developed next door produces noise during the day, but that will be short term and doesn’t reflect negatively on the property itself.

The location was great and it was warm and comfortable.

It was all slightly unclean. Rug, couches, curtain and lining all stained. Curtains in lounge needed to be hooked back on the rail. Shower seals broken and dirty. Rangehood had a greasy smell.
