Tekapo1929 Lakefront Villa

The position and view over the lake was stunning.

Basically paid for the location. It’s directly looking out towards the lake and the mountains which great. Very close to the church, even went for a sunrise walk from the accomodation to the church. It is quite old building, staff member told us it was built before the church and was the first property that was built in the lake Tekapo area.

Little outdated furniture but fits the aesthetic of the property. A little overpriced.

Great location on the lake Edge and underfloor heating in bathroom.

This is a house that has been divided to make several units. The furniture was "garage sale vintage" and bear ply walls separating units. The space for eating was separated only by a movable screen from the next unit. Would have appreciated some milk in fridge for tea or coffee which was provided.

The room ‘Braemar’ view was hampered by the common entry way into 3 of the rooms. The main things were clean (sheets and towels) but the rest of the room was not up to standard. There was cobwebs, dust and killed 3 spiders before we went to bed, carpet needed good clean, didn’t even appear to be vacuumed. Needs far more attention to detail and better description to know that you aren’t hiring a separate house, it’s one big house separated into 4 areas with 3 rooms entering from one common space, which you look out though to the lake. Far too expensive for what it is, definitely not a villa!
