BLU GUESTHOUSE - VILLA AMED

Nous avons passé un séjour formidable en compagnie de Wani qui nous a beaucoup aidé. Ce gérant loue du matériel de snorkelling et nous a aidé pour la location de scooter. Il nous a egalement invité un soir à dîner chez lui avec sa famille. Le poisson frais était délicieux ! La maison d'hôte est simple mais fonctionnelle. Seul bémol, elle est un peu excentré du centre d'Amed (25 minutes de scooter) mais très calme. Merci pour ce séjour!

Blu guesthouse is a delightful bungalow far from the maddening crowd. It is charming, clean property at the edge of Amed and amongst very friendly villagers. This was the perfect place for a solo traveler looking for a peaceful retreat with partial ocean views. The beach is easily accessible via "stairway to heaven" which was about 1.5km away. There is a kitchen where you can cook if interested, I would suggest stopping off at a store in central Amed before your arrival. There are smaller local shops though where you can buy some basics - eggs, bread etc. If cooking isn't your thing, there are also several restaurants nearby... some of which offer cooking classes! Amed is famous for snorkeling, fishing as well so if you want to do anything else besides work on your tan, those options are available as well. Wani the caretaker of the property, can help with any arrangements or make recommendations if needed. Lastly, 2 things to consider: 1. This is fairly rural and as such there are farm animals nearby and of of the night they were a bit loud so bring earplugs if your're a light sleeper. 2. There is wi-fi but the signal is a bit weak- it works for messaging apps but anything more intense would be frustrating. Nevertheless, this was a welcome chance to unplug and appreciate the natural beauty of my surroundings...I thoroughly enjoyed it

We, a young couple, booked the Blu Guesthouse near Amed to be out of the high tourists packed area, but still within range of everything and this place is perfect. Wani, who takes care of the house for the owners is a perfect host, occasional chef and can be your guide if you want. There when you need him and respects your privacy. His whole family, who live around the place are all very friendly as well. The town has no phone reception and the house has no WiFi, which made planning the next leg of our journey a challenge, but we managed by using internet at local restaurants. Having your own transportation is nice, but most restaurants and dive centres do pickup and return service if you want. Bed is perfect, bathroom has a hot water shower, sink and toilet, kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed reading on the porch, drinking local coffee and a glass of Arak in the evening. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back one day!

The house has everything you need! It is clean and a great place to stay!
