Early 20th century castle, beautifully looked after, situated at the start of the wine growing region. Very good flat and huge kitchen with extensive own grounds. When we were there, it was late summer and the castle was empty apart from a caretaker. An amazing feeling.
You need to be prepared to drive a fair distance for a decent restaurant.

The castle itself was gorgeous, a wonderful kitchen, a large terrace to have breakfast and dinner on and spatious rooms. Situated near idyllic Saarburg and short drive to Trier, lots of good food and wine in the area! Also great for a family as lots of good supermarkets, a great public swimming pool and sommerrondelbahn and sesselbahn in Saarburg.
The matresses and bedding could be a little better.

Very nice old castle. Got a lovely tour of Tatiana when we arrived and she and her husband friendly helped us throughout our stay. When you can use a car all the villages are very close, supermarket is just 5 min. We really enjoyed our stay in this clean and nice place! Thanks a lot.
