B&B IL Nido

The host (Angela) is the best! She helped me with everything I needed, way beyond any expectations. The premises are wonderful hand crafted woodwork, the food is superb including lunch (paid) and breakfast buffet. Lots of people visit the inn during lunch time just for the food and drinks. The restaurant side closes at 5-7 pm so will be quiet at night as well. The room was large and airy, the bed was very good, and the opportunities for hiking in this valley endless. Also seemed all the guests and visitors were Italian, so very locals-go-here vibes. If visiting Sappada in the future, I will definitely stay at this inn again!

The room did not have an AC machine, which is quite common in alpine villages. Being at 1200 meters, evening and night temps were perfectly tolerable during August heatwave to get a good sleep though. WiFi was sluggish in the evenings, similarly with cell data speeds in the area. So read a book!

The location is perfect. Just nested in a green beautiful landscape and surrounded by the Julian dolomites, il Nido is a jewel. Angela and Luciano, the owners and hosts are truly great people and very resourceful. You can really tell they love their mountain and this small B&B is the result of their hard work. Breakfast is incredible ! For any palate. Love their local products they get for their guests. The rooms are very comfy and I love all the wood details. I will be back for sure, I miss Il Nido and I miss Angela and Luciano.

La struttura è nuovissima e tenuta molto bene con tanti piccoli dettagli molto curati che ti fanno sentire accolto, così come la padrona di casa, simpatica e molto accogliente. Il piano terra ha un terrazzo che è davvero il valore aggiunto della camera e permette anche di entrare e uscire molto comodamente.

Forse le luci a led sul tetto che illuminano il giardino sono fin troppo forti e rovinano un pochino l'atmosfera del posto la sera, ma è un gusto personale
