The view

I chose this place because I wanted a quiet stay with a nice mountain view, somewhere peaceful to rest after long day of hiking. Based on the location, away from main roads and city, I expected this hotel to be a perfect match. Unfortunately, this was not the case. On the ground floor there is a restaurant, which is their main business. The restaurant was full of guests, and the noise was extremely loud. People were talking, laughing, and shouting until around midnight or even later. Even with the windows fully closed and wearing earplugs, it was still impossible to sleep. So we woke up tired and without proper rest for the next day.

Perfect mountain get-away in the Dolomites.

This inn is like a mountain chalet with spectacular views. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent with great staff. The room was comfy with a ski lodge vib and included a patio with seating to enjoy the view. The shower was excellent. We have already sent this site to friends with our recommendation.

La zona es preciosa aunque necesitas coche para desplazarte, ya que está al final de la montaña y no hay nada más.

La habitación es muy acogedora. El restaurante tiene una comida excelente. El personal atento. Muy limpio.

El ruido de la gente en el restaurante y el olor de tabaco y comida. Teníamos la habitación justo encima de la terraza y sube todo, teníamos que tener cerrado.

Geweldig verblijf in de Dolomieten

Geweldig uitzicht (als je mooi weer hebt). Heel vriendelijk, behulpzaam personeel. Restaurant met erg lekker eten. We hebben 3 avonden heerlijk gegeten: traditionele gerechten met een moderne twist en producten veelal uit eigen tuin of omgeving. Lekkere wijn, heel betaalbaar ook. Omdat we in het hotel verbleven, kregen we korting op het avondeten. Heel aardige bediening. Ook bij terugkomst van onze uitstapjes konden we voor koffie of een drankje terecht op het terras. Het ontbijt was ook super: een goed gevulde etagere (zoete dingen) en je kon er kaas, worst, ei, yoghurt bijbestellen. Erg goede koffie! Voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Helaas konden we door het slechte weer niet op ons eigen terrasje zitten. Ruime, moderne badkamer. Sowieso was alles spiksplinternieuw, wel in traditionele stijl.

We wisten dat de kamer zelf klein zou zijn, maar hij was wel erg klein. Twee koffers raakte je nauwelijks kwijt. Het bed met één deken was heel smal en in- en uitstappen voor degene die achter sliep, was een acrobatische prestatie. Alle genoemde positieve punten maakten dit minpuntje echter weer goed. De weg naar de locanda is best een uitdaging, maar je gaat niet voor niets naar de Dolomieten.

Schitterend welkom en ontzettend lekkere keuken

Ontzettend vriendelijke uitbater. Dank je Ilyana voor jouw gastvrijheid. Dank aan Michel voor het heerlijke eten. Deze man moet dringend zijn eigen restaurant hebben: ongelooflijk goede kok. Dank aan Luca voor de geweldige bediening. En dank aan Carol (de zus) voor haar enthousiasme. Geweldig uitzicht (niet de beste kamer gehad maar niettemin een privaat terras).

We hadden jammer genoeg de kleinste kamer en dus zeer weinig beweegruimte. 6 nachten wordt dan wel lang... alle mensen ter plaatse zorgden ervoor dat je je elke dag welkom voelt. Volgende keer vraag ik wel een andere kamer met direct zicht op de Dolomieten en...met een nachtkastje 😀. Maar nogmaals dank aan iedereen daar: jullie zijn een geweldig team.

Fuori dal frastuono.

Struttura molto accogliente, pulitissima, ottima colazione, personale molto gentile, ampio parcheggio. La camera è tutta in legno con letto comodissimo e diverso spazio a disposizione, il bagno nuovo. All’esterno piccola area di pertinenza della camera con sedie e tavolino. La Baita si trova fuori dal centro abitato di Santo Stefano di Cadore a poco più di 1300 mslm in una posizione molto tranquilla e silenziosa. Il ristorante offre piatti tipici veramente deliziosi, per non parlare dei dolci. È possibile fare del trekking partendo direttamente dalla struttura senza dover utilizzare l’auto. Sicuramente tornerò per un’altra vacanza.

Considerato il gran caldo dei giorni di permanenza presso la struttura avrei gradito un po’ d’aria condizionata. Ma sono state giornate “anomale” per la montagna.

Il posto è eccezionale con vista incredibile delle dolomiti. Il personale molto cordiale e disponibile. La colazione molto buona.

Solo una piccola nota: il frigobar in camera molto rumoroso (alla fine ho tolto la spina).

E' gia la seconda volta che soggiorno nella struttura, lo staff e la titolare sono sempre gentilissimi e attenti ad ogni esigenza, nel ristorante all'interno della baita si manga benissimo, comodissimo anche il parcheggio. Tutto perfetto.

Super tolle Unterkunft!

Alle waren richtig freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Ausblick. Das Frühstück war top! Man konnte zum süßen Frühstück noch Rührei und Naturjoghurt bestellen. Auch das Abendessen im Restaurant war top! Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und der Service super. Die Unterkunft liegt oben am Hang und ist ein bisschen ab vom Schuss. Wir fanden das toll. Es war ruhig und idyllisch.

Esperienza più che memorabile

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti in questa struttura vicinissima a Santo Stefano di Cadore. Posizione tattica per visitare il Comelico e il Cadore in generale. La struttura è moderna ma caratteristica. Le camere coccole e confortevoli, il bar/ristorante curato nei minimi dettagli e con un'ottima offerta. Come se non bastasse ciò che mi farebbe ritornare nella Locanda la Baita ad ogni occasione è il personale: Ileana ci ha accolto e accompagnato per tutto il soggiorno. Sempre disponibile e con quella luce negli occhi che contraddistingue chi ama il proprio lavoro Luca e Rachele hanno reso le nostre cene uniche con il loro servizio attento, professionale e mai invasivo. La cucina ottima e l'affiatamento dello staff in generale ti fanno respirare un'aria familiare che ti restituisce serenità, elemento essenziale per una vacanza a 360⁰. Grazie Locanda la Baita, speriamo di essere presto vostri ospiti di nuovo.

Fantastisch!

Prachtige locatie in de Dolomieten. Uitzicht is adembenemend. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren en personeel. Alles met goede smaak ingericht. Over goede smaak gesproken: ontbijt is heerlijk en leuk gepresenteerd. En hier dineren is een aanrader. Eten is echt top! In het restaurant hangt een gezellige sfeer. Kamer niet groot, maar wel functioneel ingericht en geeft luxe berghut gevoel. Mooie badkamer met heerlijke douche. Buitenterras is ruim met zitje en ligstoelen.
