Villa Tersilla

The location of the villa is perfect if you want to stay in the dolomites in an area slightly away from the main tourist traps. Aldo, the host is so welcoming and friendly, and offered us a glass of wine with him at his dinner table on our first night, before suggesting a truly special local refugio restaurant, which really made our stay with him feel wonderful. He also made sure we had complimentary coffee, water and soft drinks during our stay.

Our room had bunk beds. For two adults sharing, this may be a little uncomfortable for a prolonged stay, but would be a perfect second room for a family, especially since there is a shared, enclosed balcony at the back of the room.

From the very moment we got there, we were greeted like family. The place itself is super cute, cozy, welcoming, clean & gives cottage vibes. The attention to details is very much appreciated (mini fridge with a selection of drinks, local candies, chocolates, little care package for the shower, etc.). The host also speaks well in English which made communication so much easier (compared to many other places in Italy). The host’s recommendations (hiking, restaurants, tips on where to park for cheaper while going on hikes, etc.) were also a + for us. The location is AMAZING if you want to hike in the Dolomites! You also have space to park your car directly at the villa. The mountains all around are spectacular. Aldo & his wife really made our stay exceptional & unforgettable. We are so happy & grateful we chose Villa Tersilla. This stay is a must for international travellers looking to explore the Dolomites!

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft mit sehr lieben Gastgebern! Von Anfang an haben wir uns sehr sehr wohlgefühlt und die Gastfreundschaft von Aldo und Loretta war einfach einmalig! Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit bei euch! :) Sehr ordentliche und saubere Unterkunft! Alles da was man für ein paar Tage in den Bergen braucht! Auch die Lage ist super für Wanderungen und um zu bekannten Touristenattraktionen in den Dolomiten mit dem Auto zu gelangen. Sehr zu empfehlen - wir kommen wieder.

The house is beautiful, clean and located in a peaceful mountainside setting with lovely views. It is an excellent base for exploring the Dolomites. The room and bathroom were clean, modern, and the property is very well maintained.

What could be improved While the room looks great at first, it is quite small, and lacks practicality. No comfortable chair or table to relax or to use a laptop. Sound insulation is poor, all kinds of noises can easily be heard. There is only one small shared refrigerator for all guest rooms, about the size normally provided inside an individual room. This should be mentioned more clearly in the listing, as it can be inconvenient for guests staying several days or bringing food for breakfast and hiking, especially because the property is far from groceries and supermarkets. Waste disposal is inconvenient, use of the trash bin is very limited. Guests are given bags and are expected to dispose of the rubbish themselves. Communication throughout the stay felt more like being given instructions than being welcomed as a guest. Several rules such as "Dont bring any food" and rubbish disposal were explained only after situations had already arisen, leading to unnecessary awkward moments that could easily have been avoided with clear information. Being explicitly told "Don't bring any food" was surprising at a property where no breakfast is provided and guests are expected to arrange their own meals.
