Very good apartment for basic use in the summertime on the lake.

Wonderful people, fantastic location and lake view, and even better pasta in the bistro. The town of Mandello is perfect for those looking for real Italian charm, only few tourists, many places to eat and do fun stuff, 20 steps from the "Navigazione" ferry stop for different lake destinations. And for motorcycle fans, it's where the famous Moto Guzzi made their famous motorcycles. All in all, good value for your money.

Monday evening it's a bit harder to find an open restaurant, most don't cook (after the busy weekend it's understandable) but you will find a few options.

Very very old flat. No air con. They could buy a double bed instead of pushing 2 singles together. My pillowcase had a yellow stain.

Pleasant

The view was very beautiful. The beach, restaurants, bars, bakeries were very close to the apartment. There is also a ferry station very close to the apartment. The hotel staff was very kind and even provided us with a Wi-Fi/4G router.

When we arrived to the apartment together with the girl from reception, we noticed that the apartment wasn't cleaned before our arrival. The girl from reception started to clean the apartment, even though it wasn't her job. We were waiting for an hour to get into the apartment. Still the floors weren't clean enough. The facilities and equipment in the apartment is old and overused - all of those things really need refreshing/renewal. There was no kettle to boil water and the dishes were so used up so it was uncomfortable to eat from them. There is no A/C in the apartment. The owner should write somewhere that there is no A/C. We were expecting that there will be an A/C because it is Italy and it could become very hot - we thought that it is almost mandatory to have an A/C, but we didn't check the facility descriptions carefully. Parking is not possible at the location. There are some free parking places, but you will have to walk ~ 500m from parking to apartment.
